I'm assuming CSN goes to either A13, A14 or A15 (dont know where they are).
I'm unsure where to connect IRQ from the NRF24L01

Any and all help is apreciated.

I don't know why , I can't see any picture in your post , I have some F7 picture for you as below.

and you can reference DEVO10 connection as below .

Hmm looks like a bit of soldering on a chip of the Devo 8S' main board. I can't see where this cable goes to.

Hi dc59

Thanks for the help.
I dont see anywhere for the IRQ from the NRF24L01 module to go so i didnt connect it.

I tried connecting it up using the connections you specified and from the devo 10 referance but it didnt work.
I also tried this module in a devo 8 but it also didnt work. Im thinking I might have a faulty module.

at #2 post:

enable-a7105 = B3
has_pa-a7105 = 1
enable-cc2500 = A13
has_pa-cc2500 = 1
enable-nrf24l01 = A14
has_pa-nrf24l01 = 1

that's mean , you should connect RF module CSN pin to B3(MCU pin) or A13(TMS) or A14(TCK).

If you don't understand , please read module installation guide :

IRQ pin is unused, I have no idea why it doesn't work ? would you post some picture of your pin connection?

and post your hardware.ini file.

Where does the thin wire That's soldered on the chip go? I think you call it the mcu

I got it I think. The mcu really thin wire that is soldered on the chip connects to "csn"?

Hi,
there are a new module from nordic the module is nrf51822 and it is compatible with nrf24l01, but can be use like bluetooth BLE maybe can be a good candidate to change the nrf24l01. maybe we can have bluetooth into deviation and use it to update the firmaware or to fly parrot mini drones and others with bluetooth BLE.

This is how the board with mounted 4-in-1, bare board, and Devo 7E/AT9 adapter look like:

Anybody know how works victzh 4IN1_FLASH adapter? Any diagram and comments? I don't understand how the 4in1 module use it at iRangeX IR8M transmitter. And why the IR8M USB filesystem is unstable. The IR8M use usual way for flash memory chip and 4IN1_FLASH support for RF module.

You can ask me :-) As far as I can recall you have my email address.

Basically it work by using couple of extra chips to switch CS signal between 4 RF chips and SPI memory (used only by Radiolink, and possibly Devo F line).

I found that the theory of SPI does not work well - some radio chips drive MISO and/or MOSI when they should not, so I have file system corruption sometimes. I decided to add an extra chip to isolate SPI memory from RF modules but did not do it yet - the idea came only recently.

I have schematics in KiCad, if you're interested.

Hi All,

After an unfortunate weekend with my 7e taking a rather large static shock to the antenna and seemingly killing the processor, I decided to pick up a cheap replacement and swap the main-board. As I had the whole thing torn apart, it seemed like a good time to solve the 4-in-1 "rattling around inside the case" issue on the 7e, so I threw together a mount that can be screwed in place. It uses the void at the top of the 7e, and mounts to the left and right using the innermost screws / lugs of the gimbals.

I'm pretty happy how it turned out; I'm wondering if: There's enough people still using a 7e and the 4-in-1, and that there'd be interest in the mount for me to make the effort of cleaning it up and uploading to thingiverse or similar?

Anyway, please bare with me as I'm getting back up to speed, and again wanted to say a big thank-you to everyone working on Deviation!

Nice mount!
I can upload it to thingiverse but why don't you do it by yourself ?

Is this the adapter you mentioned quite a while ago that works on 7E without CPU soldering? I remember there was a brief discussion regarding the adapter and a possibility of making it available but I am not sure if this is the same one. Cheers.
