DEVO8S doesn't install A7105. Do not test.
DEVO10 + 3-in-1 : Flysky FS-GR3E(RC car receiver) 150M OK,150M~200M unstable, at 200M not totally lost signal,just unstable.

.

Just one note.
The A7105-500 does at 3mW more than 200m with ease.

I know this, because the year before last I nearly lost one of my V911 in strong wind
At estimated 230m I switched the transmitter off and let the heli drop . She was found at 265 m ( google maps measurement)

Yes but the RCcar reception sensitivity is lower versus a 5-10m high helicopter IMHO

Yes, you are right.
I know about the restricted signal transmission on ground level,
this was just an example for the original A7105 module to have a number in comparison to the mounted chip on the 3in1.

How do you get this web site to speak something else but Chinese?
Is there a Deviation version that works with these modules?

If you want to install 3in1 in your 7e , I will say it's OK,but not 4in1 module which has PE1/PE2 need to be confirm how to deal with.

How much is the 4in 1 ? Need it for my 7e

Original price on TaoBao :
3in1 = 150 RMB
4in1 = 200 RMB
4in1 with PPM module 250 RMB

I finished DEVO 8S #3 RF module installation and confirm B3(pin 89) works fine as same as TomPeer has done few days ago.
and thanks for Richard96816 provided me soldering video, I just soldered it once and done.

enable-a7105 = B3
has_pa-a7105 = 1
enable-cc2500 = A13
has_pa-cc2500 = 1
enable-nrf24l01 = A14
has_pa-nrf24l01 = 1

Update 2 informations from seller:
1, Next batch , you will no need to connect LNAEN pin to Vcc,they changed a resistor on 3in1 module to solved this problem.
2, It's out of stock again, because Banggood placed a order.

Which version will BG have?

Did you know that anyone with a bitbucket account (and you can log in with a google account) can edit the module installation instructions? Someone want to add the 3-in-1 module to the list supported modules page? And maybe update the transmitter installation pages to reflect how to connect a third module for their transmitters? Pictures are always good for these things?

Do not ask me questions via PM. Ask in the forums, where I'll answer if I can.

Are we sure the lna pin must be connected permanetly vcc, I believe we did that in the past we did do it, but nowadays in deviation the lna and pa enable pins are controlled?

I think the cc2500 GIO pins can be used even if it's not the radio in use. Would be nice to have them connected, thought I think the main benefit is reduced power consumption.

Thank you,is the rmb 0.15 of the usd? And which 3 modules are favorable for the 7e?I got an old 7e just sitting around but I removed the stock cyrf6936?My active 7e has the original cyrf w/out the diode mod and the a7105 and nfrl2401 both modded with sma cables for different antenna sizes.I would really like to have all 4 modules at full frequency strength.Any suggestions would greatly be appreciated by this noob,lol.

I asked seller today, and got answer:
1, Previous 3in1 module, there is a 4K ohm resistor connected LNAEN to Vcc , New batch has changed from 4K to 1K resistor, Banggood will get new batch.(maybe Seby could help to check how does it work?)
2, "Some" 3in1 module CAN NOT connect LNAEN to Vcc directly , if you do it ,sometime you will not able to power on you TX. (I'm lucky.)

1. So you can replicate that change externally by connecting an additional 1K5 resistor between th LNAEN and Vcc
2. Do you know why is that?

I think I may help you understand this.
See attached photos,As you see from logic for RX mode(X) doesn't matter if the pin is high or low.
So we can safely assume in both TX or RX mode the RXEN pin can be hight(connected to VCC)
So we can use only one pin TXEN connected to mcu to enable TX mode(TXEN high) or RX mode(TXEN low)....unless the chip PA/LNA is shutdown.

Now why is 1k pullup resistor?This coming again from data sheet.
See second pic.

Well, I see that the recommended pull up resistor is 1K, but it doesn't necessariily mean, that the 4K resistor can't pull it up. It probably depends on the driving circuit you attach to that pin. I'm almost sure 4K can pull it up if nothing is connected, but of course it is always wise to use the recommended values.

However the chip lockup is still not clear to me.
The PA/LNA chis is a separate one, isn't it?
Does your upper table describe it's behaviour? Because the PA/LNA chip doesn't neep to be shut down, it can be always on, can't it?
I know it could be shut down in case of the PPM or USBHID protocols, but it only causes some waste of power if it is always on...

PA/LNA is separate chip and this is how is working in any new 2.4GHz TX module.This table is from PA/LNA chip data sheet.According with deviation code you need PA/LNA shutdown when you reset chip(probably in other modes too) and change to other protocol on the fly.

But it is not big deal it can work like that anyway this is transmitter all protocols need PA working all the time so you don;t save much power.If you want to save power you can switch to RX and the current will drop almost 10 times.

int CC2500_Reset()
{
CC2500_Strobe(CC2500_SRES);
usleep(1000);
CC2500_SetTxRxMode(TXRX_OFF);//shutdown PA/LNA chip
return CC2500_ReadReg(CC2500_0E_FREQ1) == 0xC4;
}
