Hi,

The new OrangeRx R620Xto R1220X range support up to 12 channels on the Sbus. Did you select 12 channels to get it to bind properly?

Matrixflyer, your R720x Is 7 chan ppm, 12 chan Sbus. How many channels did you set it for?

8ch. I'm using pwm. Should I put 12?

I read on RCGroups, that new OrangeRX DSMX receivers with telemetry show internal voltage 4,9V no matter what voltage your power supply is :-(

You mean the receiver voltage? Because the lipo external voltage works fine:

The internal voltage would be the Rx voltage. There's no way a LiPo should ever read 4.9 volts.

I'm dealing with things that only have an Rx battery, so this is of real concern to me. Can you check the Rx voltage and see if it's working properly?

please read receiver manual, http://www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/store/uploads/298751765X893272X11.pdf

Due to hardware limitations TM doesn`t provide receiver pack voltage. It will always show 4.8VDC regardless of the acctual receiver
voltage. Please keep this in mind. In glow and gas applications Battery voltage can be used as receiver pack voltage.

Yes it's fixed to 4.9. Tried with 1s and 2s lipo.

These receivers are useless for me. The most important for me was Rx voltage too. And telemetry range up 100m only. Waste of money for such a telemetry :-(

I'm going to stay with the FrSky D series Rxs. Their built in telemetry works properly, and the adjustable gain on the analog voltage inputs mean for can use them for anything you can adjust the voltage on.

i use. 6 ch, 9 ch and 12 ch. i made on one platform and have same firmware. have fly`d on 450 heli, 500 and 250 quads. with dx8, dx7s and 7e with old PhB software.
in dsmX all.

You can get DSM telemetry sensor cables from either HK or HH . The HK one will require you to build a splitter for your battery cable; the HH one won't. HH also sells just bare leads so you can build your own. I'm pretty sure compatible JST connectors can be found on ebay, though.

For nightly build 4b3dc91 vlad commited some smaller changes to the DSM sources.
This includes some status and delay source code / register changes.

Sorry, I am not (can not be) aware how that might change (my) previous successful DSMx tests on nightly build devo10-v4.0.1-fcd0669 and what new tests will show up and how they intermix with Indigos test build sources.

What are these changes about?
Sorry I am not aware of all source changes you guys where working on.


What happend to your DSM <7CH RX telemetry code / packet changes you where working on some weeks ago (you posted on another thread)?


IMHO for every protocol code change you start a new in-flight testing phase (which you should not do with better helis/planes).

Are you interested to comment for 4b3dc91 about successful in-flight telemetry testings and what Spektrum receivers / quads etc. where tested?

Actually the AR6115e is working with TM1000.
I tested it either on Blade 450 3D heli or was it a warbird plane? I do not exactly remember...

The only thing you MUST be aware is, that you seem to have to sequentially bind the two (RX + TM) units separately?!?
If you try to use the BIND button of the TM it didn't bind the RX on my side!!

Therefore I switched to AR8000 + TM which works fine as expected (bind button on TM or Y-cable binds both).

I re-tested with the AR6115e a while go and just recognized that it works if you sequentially bind the TM (thus AR6115e first with bind plug) a 2nd time the TM.

Anybody has tried with orange rx short telemetry module ?
I tried all possible settings with devo 12s and dsm2/x telemetry on with deviation 4.0.1 (stable release not night builds) without any succeed, i can not make it work never binds....

I tried already not working, I am connecting the TM module to any port and I tried also into the bind port.

I start the bind sequence and press the bind button in the tm UNIT not a single light appears sometimes a faint light...

Tried with several receiver setup:
- AR 6115E DSMX, no bind possible
- AR 6115E DSM2, no bind possible
- BeastX Plus Spektrum DSM2 Satellite, no bind possible.
- BeastX Plus DSM2 Orange R110X, no bind possible
- BeastX Plus DMSX Orange R110X, no bind possible
- Orange Rx DMS2 6 Channel, no bind possible

The unit shows a faint light nothing else but no binds.

How many channels have you selected in the modul setup screen? 6/7CH?

Does the AR6115e RX bind alone WITHOUT the TM?

Nightly-Builds introduce a B1 (ON) / A1 bind option.

Probably you are too near with your transmitters to the TM / RX.
The TM are quite sensible to that. Try binding some meters away (once RX/TM red led is blinking).
The better TM bind solution is using a Y-cable with a bind plug.
