Flashing the firmware is not related to flash memory chip, you flash firmware to MCU flash memory. So you have problem with the flash memory chip. Check chip for solder splashes, proper pins soldering and so on.

All XMS supported transmitters can use all listed flash memory chips.

I don't understand what is your problem?

Thank you for your help Vlad,

I have tried now to edit the model-file - and there it's possible to do some changes, as i can see in the emulator.

The next question is about the TX-output power. After changing the TX-modul to a 4in1 the selected values of the output power starts with 100mü-watt- up to 150mW. Before the was a Value of 300mW ..

I always use the minimal output power in my house - cause my privat WLAN has some tubble when i am flying, and i dont want to have angry neighbours cause i my one has problems i think the rest will have some problems too, if i use a higher output power.

But if i use the lowest value 100uW (ore are this ultra-watt ??) i have seen that my WLAN has problems - more than using 1mW. I know that this values are "relativ exact", but can you tell me which is the lowest value and the highest Value i can choose ?

Thanks again Vlad :)

Text GUI has fixed Main page layout. You can't add new element, you can't change any element position. You can delete/restore existing elements only.

Hello Vald,

I am just doing a litte more with my F12E. In the moment i try to make the MainPage for me more useful.

I have deleted a filed - and i am not able to insert a new one. I read in the document there is a menue point "ADD" - but i dont find this - scrolling down - the last entry is "Load" but i dont find the function "ADD".

My DEVO10 has such a menue point.

I have looked in the emulator - there is the same - no possibly to add a field to MainPage.

Do i something wrong?

Thanks a lot for you help

Can you send a picture of the screen? Maybee its easier to help you ...

And is i understand has the 7E not enough memory - if you want to use full Deviation features you have to change the memory chip. I can only help with frsky - no 7 - only 10 and F12E- so i am not sure - but Vlad has done here for 7E one F12E a great job, so not to use the nightly - better to download here the file in this thread.

It's known issue, devo.fs is unstable. If you want to solve this problem radically, you need to do XMS mod - replace flash memory chip to 16 or 32 Mbit and use devof7-XMS build.

Hello,

I have tonight installed a 4in1 modul in my Devo10. After testing - i installed a 4in1 modul in my F12E - which has a SST25 memory chip with an earlier version of vlad's 5.0.
I was glad to save my "Modules" directory - after flashing the newest version - here in this thread - i have to format the USB drive again and copying the files. My first test - all Moduls are running and i am happy to have now 2 Deviation Radios with no limits :)

Thanks you Vlad for all your efforts !

Thank you again!
Reformating, putting everything in it´s place and use the "usb safe remove" does the trick.

It looks like your filesystem is damaged. You need format transmitter USB drive and rewrite filesystem. Use "Safely remove Hardware" after writing filesystem.

Thank you vald_vy! The re-draw is really much faster.
Just in my opinion in comparison the loading of the background image is not to bad.
But I am also not that fast anymore :D

Edit:
@vlad_vy: I wanted to change the config.ini back to loading the background image but the config.ini on the 12S is now "empty".
The only way to get it back to load the backgound image is to put a "fresh" copy of the config.ini onto the TX. Also, I can´t just transfer the new config.ini over to the TX and replace the existing "empty" one, an error message is displayed stating "file or directory is damaged 0x80070570". A reformat of the TX drive is necesary. This behavior is not supposed to be so, right?
For your information: The tx is booted with ENT+PowerOn into USB mode. With the "empty" config.ini the background is still drawn as it was configured before. The config.ini was only opened by notepad++, never with windows editor.

Yes, you need enable draw background at "config.ini": drawn_background=1
[background]
  drawn_background=1
  bg_color=50A0D8
  hd_color=707070

New "config.ini" has it disabled by default:
[background]
  drawn_background=0
  bg_color=50A0D8
  hd_color=707070
