I don't know. My question was if you modded the tx with the additional nRF module.

I snapped a picture of my board on my cx-10c. Can you tell me from the pic if that is supported? I don't see nrf though.

Do you have the nRF chip installed? Is there a * in front of the cx-10 protocol?
You might want to try a different flavor of the protocol. See other options in this list

deviation-devo10-v5.0.0-19ebff1 nightly build.
The nRF module works well with the cx-10 blue-a protocol. Also I don't get a missing module message on startup.

Yep, works great with Cheerson CX-10. Does this mean I've got to dump some SPI now?.. Damn, I ordered this copter for some easy practice with my 7E...

thanks for the info, iirc i have a cx-11 and a cx-10 wifi, and a flureon fx-10 somewhere, i think one of those uses the cx-10 blue protocol, what kind of distance would i need to try and bind from to check this out?

[edit]
ok I found my fx-10 and it does indeed bind using the cx-10 blue-a protocol, and managed to bind from ~7m away (2 farthest points in my house with a direct line of sight), is that sufficient to show the nrf issues are resolved?

also turns out it has a faulty motor, I really should have tried to fly it long before now lol

CX-10 "blue" PCB protocol has to receive a packet from the aircraft (RX ID) during bind.

Recently bought a fleet of a cx-10a, cx-10w and cx-10c. They all listen to the same procotol. Find the model ini attached for devo 10 with the following features:
CH1 AIL Dual Rate on AIL DR
CH2 ELE Dual Rate on ELE DR
CH3 THR
CH4 RUD Dual Rate on RUD DR
CH5 FMOD Flightmode -100, 0, 100 (powerlevel, headless mode)
CH6 TRIM_R+ flip (virt5, virt6, trim6) push button and move cyclic to direction
CH7 TRIM_L+ photo (virt7, trim7)
CH8 TRIM_L- video on/off (virt8, trim8)
TRIM_R- Gyro callibration (only if THR=0)
GEAR Emergency throttle hold
MIX throttle curve 0=1-1, 1=heavy model, 2=light model

Have fun.

cannot bind devo 10 with nrf24l01+

Category: Feedback & Questions

Hi,

I used this tutorial to add a nrf24 to my devo 10 from ebay http://www.ebay.de/itm/252391925039 announced as NRF24L01+ PA LNA SMA V3.1

http://www.deviationtx.com/forum/how-to/5223-walkera-devo-10-module-install-with-nrf24-a7105

I changed the hardware.ini and the module seems to be recognized. I tried to pull each of the seven connectors individually and get the "missing module" error on startup, except if I pull the CE which is wired to VDD which is not noticed on startup.

I tried to bind a syma x5c-1 two different cheerson cx-10 a cx-30 and a jjrc h8mini. It doesn't work. I have tried version 4.0.1 (which doesn't support symax) version 5.0.0 and the latest nightly build deviation-devo10-v5.0.0-481a401.

Either I'm missing something very obvious or the module is broken. Any other idea what to look for? Logfiles or so?

Your help is highly appreciated..

This is very useful information for anyone that purchases a new version.

I just set up my Devo 7E today and have almost all of my quads working on it. However, I am unable to bind the v686G,

I have this module from bangood us.banggood.com/Wholesale-Warehouse-A710...e-wp-Usa-909404.html
I connected it as in the Tom Per diagram.

It works fine for my Hubsan X4 107C and Estes Proto-X. It will not bind with the V686G. It works fine on almost all of my NRF models.

On the Devo7E the binding countdown finishes and it beeps. But the V686G lights keep blinking and do not respond at all. I am using the Flysky with v6x6 option. Unfortunately, that is all that I have that use the A7105 to test the module.

Edit: Nevermind - I took the V686G radio apart to look at its transmitter and discovered that they changed their transmitter. It won't bind on the old protocol anymore. However, it will bind under CX-10 with Q282 settings.

So, back to zero, I still have no machine with a HS6200 to work on it ...

"Good" news is that mine seems to be from a very recent batch (April 2016), so MK-33043 ordered from now on have a good chance to be compatible with CX-10 protocol.

Another bad news is that some manufacturers are starting to use SOC with radio+adc+mcu inside the same chip, so there's nothing to capture with a "simple" logic analyzer, it has to be done "in the air", which requires much more skills and time.

Sadly I wouldn't bet on that when I got my super s suposedly they were the new ones compatible with deviation slightly slower yaw but I got one of the old ones not compatible and at the time on the rcgroups thread people that had like 4 of them all ordered in diferent times they recived mixed ones :(

Hmmm I've a bad news, looks like not all the MouldKing Super-F are the same, mine has only 1 chip in the TX and is compatible with the CX-10 protocol, please read from here for more info :(

If you mean the MouldKing Super-F, it's compatible with the CX-10 protocol, try "Green" or "MK-33041" format option.

No you are confused I think, the super is actually X no F, the F is the smallest of the 3 and is in a diferent protocol then the x , the bigest of the tree, and some s. The f is so awesome flier but the stock transmiter is garbage and the bad resolution really kills the f performance when you need precision and acuracy like flyig through gapes and hoops, but with devo wow it would be beter then moon top and syma x11 IMHO

The new improved build in topic has better rates the before? I remeber the rates where quite lower then stock transmitter. As always thank you for your awesome work :) I see they call it super too, very confusing but look at the picture with the cola, is the around the size of the moon top and the syma x11 www.gearbest.com/rc-quadcopters/pp_284173.html

Hi harwoodr, any chance you could get some logic captures of the SPI bus inside the newer "red" TX please ?
I'm not saying than dumping in the air with your setup is impossible, but that's only way harder ;)

Tarantula No. 1505

Category: Model Requests

Hi. First post! :)

I was wondering if anyone has had any luck flying the Tarantula No. 1505 with Deviation. Im a super noob. I just soldered my NRF module into my 7e and Ive had a blast configuring it and flying my X11 and my CX-10. I don't know what protocol or even what module might be required for the Tarantula No. 1505.

Link to the Tarantula No. 1505

My post over at RCGroups with pictures of the transmitter board

Like I said Im new, but I love to learn. Can anyone help me get this toy quad deviated or at least point me in the right direction?
