Thanks. Despite the fact that the board is red, it uses the CX-10 Blue A protocol setting. I did not realize that there was a separate CX-10 protocol option! The Support ed Models file should be updated to mention that. I'm willing to update it, just don't know how. Thanks for the help!

Figured I'd revive an older thread before starting a new one. I have the NRF24L01 PA+LNA installed in a Devo 12s transmitter. It binds without an issue to my Syma X5C-1. I've just spent the past hour trying to get it to bind with a CX-10 I have. It never binds and the LEDs flash. The model file is attached for reference. I am using the YD717 Protocol with the SKY WLKR setting. EDIT: This is the RED PCB. If this is in the wrong area, my apologizes. EDIT 2: Using Nightly devo12-v4.0.1-583c468

Sequence of Events when trying to bind.
1. Transmitter turned on.
2. Turn on CX-10
3. Doesn't Bind.
4. Goto model page and try to re-init
5. Power cycle CX-10 while trying to re-init

At a loss for what to do. Thanks guys.

Any "toy" TX with PPM output?

Category: General Discussions

I'm starting to build a plane to be used partly as a trainer for my 5yo son, with the intention of being able to throw over dialed-down throws or possibly even mix his controls with my master (another thread perhaps)
Anyway, I have a spare devo 7E and gave it to him and he was quite excited at the prospect, but then he picked up the TX from my Cheerson CX-10 and started messing with it, and it struck me that an even smaller "toy" TX would be even better suited. So, does anyone know of such a TX that either has PPM-out as standard, or could be hacked to find an internal PPM stream? I'm talking something that can be bought as a cheap (sub $50) RTF package, preferably with a vehicle that can be controlled with a modded devo?

Plane will be a modded " FFF Eagle ", planning elavon and v-tail, modded, streamlined and extended to be a Wedge Tailed Eagle (aka. Wedgie ;) )

Hi all, I just made some spi captures of my cx10-c so the camera controls can maybe be added to the cx 10 protocol. I'll open a new thead with the captures.

CX10-C camera button captures

Category: Protocol Development

Hi all,

My cx10-c flies great with the cx-10 blue-A protocol, I just cannot figure out how to control the camera with my devo 7e. As I understand it the specific control has not been implemented yet in the protocol.

I have made three spi captures on the stock transmitter with my new logic analyser :

- binding of cx10-c to stock transmitter
- 3 times pressing the camera button (takes a snapshot to sd card)
- 4 times pressing the video button (alternately starts and stops the video recording)

the files are here : drive.google.com/file/d/0Bxf-446WD7Euand...OVE/view?usp=sharing

I do not have the skill to figure the protocol out but hope that someone can use these files.
Please note that is the first time using this logic analyser so if something is wrong please let me know.

Hi again!

I wasn't home yesterday so I couldn't try the build for 6S straight away...
I just installed and tried it now as soon as I got back from work.

Wow, what a difference compared to the stock TX!
In my opinion it was a much greater leap in comparison to the CX-10 stock/deviation.

It's not a perfect flyer but very handsome and extremely fun to fly despite it's bulk weight.
Something to play with during winter to release the stress...
I'm amazed how well it worked "straight out of the box" after upgrading the firmware.
Now I can fly all my models with the 6S. - Nice!!

I'm kind of a newb still and haven't flown anything faster than the CX-30C so far even though it's almost gone a year now since I got into the Deviation thing.

I can't wait until I receive my X800(!).. :P

This Deviation community is fantastic!

Thank you all!

I just got mine today. It's like a Cheerson CX-10 clone with way more power. It looks like it has enough power to handle some wind. It also has headless mode and return to home.

I haven't seen anything on here about it being Deviation compatible but...
This review says the FQ777-124 has "CX-10" printed on the green circuit board.
He tried the Deviation CX-10 protocols, with no luck.
Maybe it wouldn't be that difficult for somebody to mod the CX-10 green protocol.

I hope somebody gets a protocol working for it. I love flying my CX-10 with my Devo 8S, and this one looks like it could be twice as fun.

I got the same result on my MK33041, Headless & RTH worked fine!! :)

This starts to be very confusing as the V686 is using a A7105 with a variant of the FlySky protocol :p

Actually all toys are XN297 based, probably cheaper .... but max output power is 12dBm (AFAIK, I didn't see any TX with a LNA+PA).
It means that all last toys have a very poor range except if we fly them with a Devo

Yep, after some time selling the V686G with the fantastic A7105, they moved this model to XN297.
Damn manufacturers! :blink:

That's not my responsibility to push the pull requests to default branch (from which the nightly is built) ;)
Regarding H7, I've put the pull request on hold because some people have reported my protocol works, but seems it's not the case for everyone ... (works fine with mine), could you check my test versions (from H7 & MT99xx threads) and report which one is working (or not) for you ?

Checked the new build on CX-10A (Blue), DM007 and 33041. Everything ok execept one issue with the 33041. And it is my mistake earlier... :)

I mean that works everything except RTH on 33041. Certainly it is not P13.4, but 0x0004 on P13 (as headless on DM007)... Sorry. So it should be P13.2. I mean this code:
        case FORMAT_MK33041:
            packet[13] |= GET_FLAG(CHANNEL_PICTURE, BV(7))
                    | GET_FLAG(CHANNEL_RTH, BV(2)); // not  | GET_FLAG(CHANNEL_RTH, BV(4));
            packet[14] = GET_FLAG(CHANNEL_VIDEO, BV(0))
                    | GET_FLAG(CHANNEL_HEADLESS, BV(5));
            break;
