On a DX6i, the tail gain is between 0 to 100. However, in Deviation, everything is -100 to 100. Does that mean that for a value of 50 on a DX6i, I'd need to set it to 0 in Deviation to get the same amount of gain?

I'm flying a few birds, each with a Spektrum AR7200BX. One is a Blade 450x, and the recommended tail gyro gain, per the manual from Horizon Hobbies, is 77%. Does that mean that to achieve 77% in Deviation, I need to set it to 54? I arrived at 54 because on a 200 point scale (like in Deviation), 77 percent would be 154 points. Subtract 100 since the bottom is -100, and we arrive at 54.

This is exactly the way the values have to be recalculated.

Let S a value in the full range of 0% to 100%. Then you get the value P in the range of -100% to 100% when you double it and reduce it by 100%:
P=(2*S)-100%
Let P a value between -100% to +100%. Then you get S in the range of 0% to 100% when you add 100% and divide it by two:
S=(P+100%)/2

So exactly what I said? haha.

I also just now looked in the 450X manual again and in the section for the higher end DX8, whaddya know, it says set to the tail gain to 54!

Thanks for the equation though; that makes this easier that all that I was doing in my head!
