You've got an old version. I can tell, as it's missing the --disable option in the current version. The current version has this fixed.

I double-checked the download link, and it's current.

But I've attached just the exe file of the current version here as well.

Ahh! Thanks for the update. I got the latest EXE and it is fixed... almost. :(

The current convention for using AppData is to actually use
AppData\Local\straight\default.ini

No problem, but I'll probably ignore any other requests to move that directory.

New update on google drive, and here's the latest windows version.

I'm beginning to convert a number of Devo 7e models to Devo 6S, so I've been waiting to use this! But it doesn't run on my Windows 10 Pro system :( .

It gives me the error:
C:\Users\Alison\Downloads\Devo6S\Models>straight --help
This version of C:\Users\Alison\Downloads\Devo6S\Models\straight.exe is not compatible with the version of Windows you're running. Check your computer's system information and then contact the software publisher.

C:\Users\Alison\Downloads\Devo6S\Models>

I've verified that it isn't locked out by the security stuff, and I've tried all the compatibility settings but get the same results. I have also tried the binary from 7/22 and from 7/26 and get the same results. Any chance you can help?

Are you by any chance running a 32-bit version of Windows? I built this on a 64-bit Windows 10 system, and that's the only reason I can think of that Windows might complain about a compatibility issue.

DO you need a 32-bit version? I'm not sure I can build one, but I can find out...

It looks like a very useful tool, and if it runs on 32-bit I thinks it will save me a lot of time as I move from the 7e to my 6s. If you can do one, I would appreciate it.

Or maybe I just need to build myself a programming PC and do my own builds. But there's only so much time in the day...I would rather be flying.

Turns out that the build utility I use just need to be told to build for the i386 - and to install the compilers - and it did the deed.

I've uploaded that to the drive folder the other one is in: drive.google.com/file/d/0B72nhihrc01MT0F...Y2c/view?usp=sharing

I'll be adding this link to the first post as well.

Sorry to bug you mwm... but first, thanks for the utility. No luck running it here on 32 bit Win 7, downloaded "32bit-straight", try to open it and it momentarily flashes a small form on the screen then disappears, nada...

Would really like to check it out...

I'm building on Windows 10, so it's not really surprising that that doesn't work on Windows 7. I don't normally do much Windows development, so I'm not sure I can fix this. Any chance you can run the Mac version, or maybe a Linux version in a VM?

That's ok, I understand... think most folks have probably moved on from Win7. Sux to be me then...:) nope, no Mac, No Linux

What was it... 1.5 hobbies ago, I was just starting to learn Pascal (Delphi 10)... Might need/want to pick it up again, just too impatient for the learning curve atm...

Regards

This written in Haskell, not Pascal. And it's got the longest learning curve of any programming language I've ever encountered. Fun, though.

Have you tried opening a command prompt and executing the app from there?

I dont think you can just 'double click' the app (as its all cmd line based)
