Hi, I would like to fly with the CX-10 blue plate and DEVO7e (I nRF24L01 module installed). What must I do for it? I read a lot of pages, but I'm really confused. Please write simply what exactly I have to do. Thank you very much and sorry for bad English. I'm from czech rep.
I would like to ask how to update the firmware? ( www.deviationtx.com/downloads-new/catego...-10a-blue-board-cx11 ). After the upgrade is a "model setup" empty display :-(

Welcome! Deviation is an amazing transmitter, and like any other high-function tool, it may take some time to absorb. Did you review the User Manual for your transmitter (see the list on the left side of the web page)? Essentially it will walk you through downloading the files from the web and loading them into your deviation transmitter. There is a lot of technical material there, too, so if you feel you're in too deep, I suggest you look at the forum section called Tutorials .

Most of your questions should be answered there, and if you have more, please let us know!

Hello, thank you for your response. Transmitter DEVO 7e I already own half of the year and the first thing I did was to change firmware to 4.0.1 DEVIATION, it was no problem. However, deviation-Devo7e-v4.0.1-8b9e2a0 firmware upgrade does not have a standard file system, there is only the folder "protocols". I tried different installation options and failed. Then I searched the net for help, but I found only this: www.deviationtx.com/forum/builds/3607-de...with-empty-main-menu . That is not clear to me how to install the firmware. I need to know how to (step by step) to install this firmware pleas.
Thank You.

The "nightly" build is a full compilation of the Deviation software with the newest bug fixes and features, and includes all the file system and folders. If you use a test build, you will get only the DFU file and the protocol folder, and you need to install it after installing the nightly it was built from; essentially you load the DFU then copy the protocol folder over the old one without removing any of the rest of the file system.

I recommend using the nightly build unless you need to test a new feature. Test builds are intended for use by experienced testers and may not perform correctly, so you need to be more careful about their use (I suggest removing any blades, rotors or other moving parts before operating them!).

Hello, thank you for your answer. I did everything according to your recommendations, but I failed :-( With DfuSe USB Upgrade Tool again I uploaded firmware 4.0.1, after formatting the flash memory I copied the files, everything was OK. Then I again via USB Upgrade Tool DfuSe recorded new firmware (Devo7e-v4.0.1-8b9e2a0) and copied the other firmware folder "protocol". After switching on the transmitter startup image on the display display so that the firmware version is displayed at the bottom so that there was hardly visible. I squeezed ent and empty again Main menu item (see illustration below). :-(

You can't use a test build with 4.0.1 release. You MUST use the nightly build.

Still, I went back to the first part of the query, is there any possibility to control quadrocopters CX-10 blue board using DEVO7E Deviation?
I have nrf24l01 module to the transmitter connected.
This is not question just for Deal57 ;)

i am also interested in flying the cx-10 with blue board,
i found this so far
www.deviationtx.com/downloads-new/catego...10a-blue-board-cx11#
so what i understand is, i need to flash a nightly build *.dfu with dfuse, and when i am done i need to flash the *.dfu of the test build? and afterwards copy the protocol folder of the test build with a usb connection?
sorry for the question but i just got a devo 7e,

I do not own the CX-10 but I believe Goebish test-build already made it into nightly-build source repository.
Your test-build link is quite old from May 2015!

bitbucket.org/deviationtx/deviation/commits/all?search=cx10
goebish 51df623 Add Cheerson CX-10A (blue board) protocol Branches CX10A 2015-05-26
PhracturedBlue ef56c9a M Merged in goebish/deviationtx/CX10A (pull request #71) Add Cheerson CX-10A / CX-11 and DM007 protocol 2015-05-30

Try the "Blue-A" option when you selected the protocol.

The DFU does NOT contain the file system and ini files.

No, IMHO you only flash the firmware DFU file once, not twice.
So you would have to use the file system files from the nightly-build firmware ZIP file and the test-build DFU.

BUT....in this case just try the latest offical nightly-build ZIP which includes DFU and all files for file system INCLUDING protocol folder.
You really have to copy over the protocol files for the Devo 7E which correlate to the DFU from same ZIP file.

Yes! You can control it without problems!! I do it with my Devo7E & my CX10A & CXstars..
You need to use a nightly build...
If you need the .ini, tell us..

The .ini file is for the configuration model! ( www.deviationtx.com/forum/model-configs )
The nightly build have the protocols to control the CX10... The Deviation 4.0.1 don't have the CX10 blue board protocol...

When I get home, I tell you my deviation version and I will attach the cx10 config!
