How does he provide the firmware for these modules? Arduino source or hex files? If source, there is no need to reverse engineer, just use the Source, Luke.

@Cereal_Killer - so did you test your boards? Do they work? Can I order the board and make the working ones myself? I need a working version before I subscribe to porting the protocol to Deviation.

Yes! The board works and I got a very promising range test in low power mode (using only wire whip antennas) of >300 meters in a city environment but I would hold off on ordering till I make one more change over the weekend. Probably only take me 20 minutes of work but I can't promise I'll even get to it till the weekend.

The board as-is does work but I want to change the button resistor from an in line resistor to a pull-up and to add a buzzer output to D8. Again to confirm it does work but I feel this will make it more future proof.

Just ordered 3 boards from OSHPark and all the other stuff last week. I'll start with PPM from my 7E.
Is anyone making the Brotronics sub micro lrs rx?

RFM23BP source is no longer valid. Ebay have several options.

When you say making do you mean prebuilt? If you're in the US FPVHeadquarters has it and the antenna. I have one on my most recent built.

Hi Cereal_Killer
I got 3 of the old v1 boards and wonder what's the difference to the v1.01?
Shall I order the v1.01 boards?
I have all the components waiting to be mounted.

Did you actually manage to get a real "v1.00" or do you mean you got one of the first revision (v012 / v013) boards? The actual V1.00 were only available for a few minutes, maybe an hour before v1.01 came out.

No need to upgrade, anything above v012 works fine. It's just very minor changes between them, they all run the same FW...
The ONLY difference is how the button works, on v1.01 the buttons resistor is a pull-up, on the V0.xx boards the resistor is simply inline between D10 and the button.

There won't be a big change till ULRS_TEENSY comes out then I'll do a V2.xx board to work with it.
Computer is STILL down (probably won't be able to afford a new one till black friday) so there are no revisions coming in the immediate future... :( again any boards you have now work.

Well all things fine then, I'll head of into the workshop and mount the components.

Hope You'll get a new computer soon.

Cereal Killer why not using an Arduino with integrated USB www.aliexpress.com/item/1PCS-Promotion-F...ard/32531372300.html ?

i'd guess because the components on the back wouldn't let it sit flush against the pcb for soldering

Not important if u ask me.

Well I try it with integrated USB and solder the arduino with cables to the PCB.

well it would require a redesign/relayout of the pcb to allow for through holes to mount header pins to use the version of the arduino you linked, and perhaps he may do this in the future if it's something he wants? but due to the way the arduino is mounted on this current version it needs to be flat on the back side and have the sides of the pcb sanded down
