UPDATE: 5/13/13
I have updated all the models which have the same name as before.
* Notice of Ch 3 being 0 not -100 has been corrected.
* DSM2 has been changed to DSMX.
Normal: 0% 40% 60% 68% 75%
ST-1: 100% 90% 80% 90% 100%
ST-2: 100% Flat Across
Throttle Hold is active on RUDD D/R switch
Pitch Curve
Normal: -3* negative pitch. Zero degrees pitch at mid stick.
ST-1: Full +/- 3D pitch curve. Zero degrees pitch at mid stick.
ST-2: Full +/- 3D pitch curve. Zero degrees pitch at mid stick.
DR/EXPO
Adjust D/R and EXPO to your personal preference.
Switch Position
0- ELEV D/R = 80% EXP +30%
0- AILE D/R = 80% EXP +30%
RUDD D/R = 80% EXP LIN
Switch Position
1- ELEV D/R = 100% EXP +30%
1- AILE D/R = 100% EXP +30%
RUDD D/R = 80% EXP LIN
Download the Configuration Settings File.
Right click the "model.ini " and select "Save Target As" or "Save Link As" depending if you are using IE or Firefox.
Install the configuration settings file into your models folder (See my How to video below).
This will over-right the current file so make sure that model slot doesn’t
have a model being used in it. If it does rename the configuration settings file
to another number that you have free.
Example: The file you downloaded is named model5 so change the “5" to another slot
number that you don’t have a model setup for. If you have model slot 6 open rename the file to model6

I have updated all the models which have the same name as before.
* Notice of Ch 3 being 0 not -100 has been corrected.
* DSM2 has been changed to DSMX.
- Throttle hold on the RUDD D/R switch.
- 7 Point Throttle and Pitch Curves.
- TX Power=100mW
- Channels=7
- Protocol=DSMX
- No Fixed ID
- Stick Mode 2 If you need Stick Mode 1, 3, or 4 load the model into your transmitter then change the Stick Mode in the transmitter settings.
Model 2 is for deviation firmware v4 and the DEVO 6/6S/8/8S/10/12/12S.
Model 2-2 has Zero Degree Pitch when throttle hold is on.
This will help minimize damage in a crash as the swash and blades will be at mid stick zero degrees pitch.
This will also help prevent a boom strike.
The swash does not move when TH is on.
If you want control of the swash in TH to help you land in a crash don’t use this model use Model 2 instead.
Model 51 is for deviation firmware v3 and the Devo 8/8S/12.
Model 52 is for deviation firmware v3 and the Devo 10.
Normal: 0% 40% 60% 68% 75%

Thank you for offering so much help here, and on your web site. I know it takes much of your time.
So, I'm Steve Gross, a newbie fighting to come to speed. I working w a 12S. I installed V3.
When I loaded your Model 51 (name changed to 7 for my TX model slot) I consistently get a notice of Ch 3 being 0 not -100.
I looked at the code and could find nowhere to change this. Not sure how to proceed. Also, I have 30 model slots. How do we use more, if necessary.
Finally, why did u bind DSM2 and not DSMX?
wondering if you might clarify and/or advise.
TY

Hiya!
I've been having the same exact problem!
And of all channels... who cares about channel 3 anyhow!
I cant figure it out either, if anybody knows how to rid this symptom from an otherwise enjoyable config please share!
Cheers,

For DSM2/DSMX replace the folowing text in your model.ini file:
...with this:
Use a text editor like notepad++, because the Windows notepad doesn't handle the unix style line ends well...
[safety]
Ch3=min...with this:
[safety]
Ch1=minUse a text editor like notepad++, because the Windows notepad doesn't handle the unix style line ends well...

Thank you.
I continue to be amazed and inspired by the sharing and enthusiasm shown to me and others. Great patience consistently shown to those such as me, such a newbie, trying hard to "catch-up". Learn.
The work thus far is spectacular, I am flying 80% of all my models with a very nicely built 12S Walkera. 1 TX.
Thank you all, once again. I wait so impatiently and watch email alerts for the Version that fills the entire screen of my 12S and other enhancements as I must never forget that even as it is now, it is 100% better than when the 12S first arrived w Walkera default firmware inside.
Best to all, thanks to all.
Steve

Even better will be "auto=min" because it will select the usual throttle channel for the selected protocol.

Your welcome Steve.
Notice of Ch 3 being 0 not -100 has been corrected.
I used DSM2 as this is what I have always worked with before. The models have now been changed to DSMX now that I now understand what the difference between the two are.
Download the updated models (which have the same name as before) and install.

I edited the models with the "auto=min" setting as recommended by rbe2012. I did this with notepad++ and checked the models in the simulators again.
Download the updated model and install it again.
I also changed DSM2 to DSMX.
I updated all the Blade models I have posted on this site with these changes.

This Deviation software is the most exciting aspect of RC since I became addicted to RC Helicopters.
In advance, I apologize to all, for my questions, as I Learn. Forgive my inexperience.
I would love to contribute (in any way needed) to this awesome project, if allowed. Yesterday, I and my 12S w deviation V3 flew models from 3 binding sources, never before possible. I really enjoy my 12S, also. Stick feel is good for me.
Tom, you have a great site and the time you have invested is apparent and, much appreciated, also.
Thanks to all the players,
Steve

Thanks Steve.
I missed your question before. "30 model slots. How do we use more, if necessary".
I think you just continue to name them as you do with the models under 30.
I just tried it in the deviation simulator and it worked so it should also work in the transmitter.
Example: model #31 would be named model31.ini
model #32 would be named model32.ini

Yep, that's the way. Make sure to number the files continuously because when you have a gap the method will stop looking for further files.

Tom, need your help!
I had set up my 130x with the template you posted. It flied great. But after i upgrade the tail with DS35 servo, i can't manage to adjust the travel range and gyro gain with your templete. Need help in how to:
- adjusting the tail servo travel
- adjusting the tail servo gain
- adjusting the main rotor gyro gain as i changed to other lighter blade it seem the gain is too low/high and it keep on vibrating.
I did tried to use the strandard gui, and all the servo travel can be adjusted then, but i can't figured out how to adjust the main rotor gain and tail servo gain. Please understand that you are my only hope as i posted this question in the general disccusion but to no avail.
TQ

TQ, I don't use the deviation firmware. I installed it to make the How to videos and make models to post on this site then returned to the factory firmware.
Without having the deviation firmware installed I can't help you out.
Someone should be able to help you out here when they see your post.

jumping in here, are you saying that if you bind to a new memory, you can't control your servo travel/gain? because of a template stops that adjustment?

Have you already read the manual? If not, plese do so.
In short: connect your tx to your pc, go into USB mode and look at the file system. Put the config files in the "models" folder (rename them model1.ini to model30.ini - search a number you did not used for the models already in your tx).
