Great news!! Thanks for all your efforts.

If you need a tester once you've got it ported to Deviation I've got aV911S and 4-in-1s in a Devo 10 and Devo F12E, and all modules except the CC2500 in a Devo 8S.

I don't suppose you can tell if there are any possible undocumented channel features, such as channel 5 for use as a 3G/6G mode switch? I hate the 6G only with the stock transmitter and was hoping the receiver might might have 3G capabilities like all other 6 axis helis.

Category: Feedback & Questions

Hi again
Not had any views yet on this?
So if any clever people out there ....as thought I would try this as a replacement fpv receiver looks similar pin out except more channels for fpv but was only thinking of linking upto channel 4 and only using the direct female pins on the daughter board to this module any thoughts on this and if it would work as better than a faulty one?and no help from Walkera as out of guarantee now!

Category: Feedback & Questions

Hi Guys or Gals
Have a Devo F12E 4 in 1 module and voice module all working good the problem if any can help is my Fpv antenna snapped of at the module I have resoldered module terminal back on
But ever since this I have snowy picture and the transmitter switches off like there’s no power even though the switch is on but can switch off to on it works again....and if I use without Fpv on it seems ok and stays on ?
Cannot see any short in the antenna terminal or any bad solder joints ...does anyone know if the Fpv module can cause this problem or something else also tried finding a module replacement with no joy?
Any help would be great sorry if this is in the wrong place please move if so?

You can use the original DEVO protocol in deviation fw too, so you don't need to switch back to devention for that.

F12E - basic question

Category: Feedback & Questions

Hi Deviation

Nice to be a new member. After reading your great documentation, a basic issue remains for me.

I own a F12E for drone control : is it possible to have more that one Deviation firmware in my TX, selecting it when I change the target (another protocol) ? Or do I have to load back the initial Devention firmware each time I want to use my drone again ?

Possibly also, I missed some top level assumptions !

(Sorry for my English, I'm French....)

Many thanks for your answer

Yves

Category: Model Requests

Hey Guys,

Im new to this site and all the RC-Deviation Stuff.
I got some skills in modifiying Firmware and Bios from Computers and other IOT-Things, but im not able to fly my eachine 010s @ my Devo f12E Controller.
I put the nightly build 5.0 on it but i am not able to modify any Models. Its possible to bind the 010S in DSM2 Mode with my Remotecontroll, but this is all. Just binding and no reaktion of any input. The Camera is connected and working fine.
Now i got some *.ini configs but with deviation uploader and DfUse i am only able to upload *.bin files.

Has anybody got an Idea how to fix the Problem? Maybe i did it wrong and you got another method to bind the eachine 010S DSM2 @ my Walkera Devo f12E.
Is there any other Remote Controller which can be used with this model? The Devo F12E came with a Walkera Runner 250 Pro Advanced and worked really good. But now im not amused of this RemoteController.

Please Help!
I have searched the Forum but didn´t find a similar Topic.
If there is a thread dealin with the same Problem, I am Sorry.
Post ist please.

See Ya!

I installed the nightly build you suggested. I got the nano fpv2 to bind but there is no controls even though it is solid blue light after binded. Also the model setting does not seem to save and every time I re-boot the transmitter, all settings are lost and have to redo it again.

Hi Vladimir,

you made a great job. Thanks for your work and your support.

But no I have a problem to modify my Devo F12e with the XMS Mod.
i changed the Chip and updated the firmware with the XMS-f31c081. i use the java tool V0.9
Than i got problem to format the chip.
i also try the original Wlakera tool and push the button "leave DFU Mode"

The computer didn't found the device. i thought i made a misstake, so a changed the chip back.
take the old firmware and put everything back.

Now there is a message "Battery too low. can't safe!" i put my old devo.fs file (64kb) but the devo can't read or write something.
Do you know someting about it?
i measured the volatage on the battery 10,4V on the chip 3,3V.
If the message comes, the value at the battery is the same.
The Battery value in the devo.fs file was 54.0 and i tried also 102.1 (value from a friend who has also a modified DevoF12e)

A friend made the same modification and everything works well.

i have to say, that i have modified my both Devo 7e and replace the chip and made the modification with the 3 way switch...
So i know some informations how to make the modifikations.
But now I am finished with my knowledge.

regards Oliver

Thanks for the reply, I will give Vlad's build a try.

I used Blade nano qx2 for the test flight. it hovers for like 2 minutes before it drops on the ground, I was not looking at the F12E screen at the time and was testing out the control and trim. I thought my binding process was incorrect that's why it lost control. I re-bind it again and this time I was watching the FPV screen, again around just over 1 minute of flying, I lost control and nano flew straight into a wall. it looks like the transmitter "re-booted" itself this time. On the third attempt, I re-binded and switching between 3rd person view and FPV monitor every now and then, this time was the flight was lot shorter before it lost control and landed, on my way to pick up the drone I moved the radio stick and it re-gain control, maybe we are talking about 3-5 sec after it lands, I did not check whether the FPV screen comes back on or stayed in Blue screen as I turned off the radio which I should have checked before turning it off.

Given a choice of protocol, should I use DSM or DSMX? either should work right?

Please provide more details.

Have you tried Vlad's build for F12E: www.deviationtx.com/forum/builds/6407-de...cols?start=380#69111

However, I was not aware that we have actually any issues with "loss bind" for the DSMx protocol, either in nightly builds or in Vlad's GUI 5.0.0 firmware builds with updated protocol sources (from nightly).

Yes, there had been DSM protocol changes from the 5.0.0 stable release.

Are you talking about a loss in the **video link** instead of the Spektrum DSMx protocol (bind)?
Have you been losing control of the quad?

In 09/2017 I had downloaded deviation-devo10-v5.0.0-3c30cbd.zip for my Devo 10 (GUI menu scrolling changes). Not sure if I had made any actual DSMx flights afterwards (DSM protocol sources were not changed).

However, I flew **successfully** with Vlad's 5.0 build on DSMx with Spektrum telemetry (TM1000) about August to October 2016.
No problems on the Devo 10.

As soon as 1-2 planes are fixed, I will be hopefully back summer 2018 to my Devo10 with nightly build 3c30cbd from 09/2017.

DevoF12E the flash memory chip connections corrected:

With Devo F12E it will be (pin connections from SST25VF032B to STM32F103VCT6):
1. CE = SPI1_CE (PB2, pin 37)
2. SO = SPI1_MISO (PA6, pin 31)
3. WP = 3.3V (VDD_4, pin 28)
4. VSS = GND (VSS_4, pin 27)
5. SI = SPI1_MOSI (PA7, pin 32)
6. SCK = SPI1_SCK (PA5, pin 30)
7. HOLD = 3.3V (VDD_4, pin 28)
8. VDD = 3.3V (VDD_4, pin 28)

With Devo F4 it can be (pin connections from SST25VF032B to STM32F103RBT6):
1. CE = SPI1_CE (PB2, pin 28)
2. SO = SPI1_MISO (PA6, pin 22)
3. WP = 3.3V (VDD_4, pin 19)
4. VSS = GND (VSS_4, pin 18)
5. SI = SPI1_MOSI (PA7, pin 23)
6. SCK = SPI1_SCK (PA5, pin 21)

On my F12E I found Pin 1 to go through a resistor first before going to Pin 27 of the MCU. And I also found that pin 1 goes to Pin 37 of the MCU.
See pic...

Possbile Devo F12E deviation firmware 5.0.0?

Category: Feedback & Questions

Hi I am new to the forum and wonder if there will be a V5.0.0 for F12E in the future? I recently bought a F12E and wanted to use DSMX feature from Deviation for all my nano FPV drone but unfortunately the one I am capable install successfully was a Nightly build version which still has the "loss bind" issue during mid flight.

Is there a Nightly Build which has fixed the issue?
