Eachine E10 for DEVO 10

Category: Model Configs

It seems that Eachine E10 is already supported by Deviation since it is using the H8-3D protocol. In case you preffer to download a ready made model than make one, here is the ini file i have made for Eachine 10E.

On RUD DR1 is the Throttle Hold.

FMODE0/1/2 is for low/mid/high rates 60/80/100%

3D mode is activated with AILE DR1. After each flip or roll it has to be reactivated (don't know if this is how it should be. Other quads seem to flip continously and others need to reactive).

Lights can be turned off with ELEV DR1. ELEV DR0 turn them back on.

Finally the HeadLess mode is activated with GEAR1.

It is a very simple ini file and of course one can always change the switches to their likings. I don't know if this quad have any more features that i haven't found. But it flys really beautifully and 100 times better than my CX-10A which flys like a dead fish.

got everything wired in and its cool. the only problem i have is i cant bind to anything but my hubsan quads. i tried to bind to my cheerson cx-10s nothing,my blade inductrix nothing. heres what my .ini file looks like

I purchased this miniature quadcopter lately, and i was looking for a ready made .ini file to upload to my DEVO 10. I don't know if one exists already, but i didn't manage to find anything. So i started building a file myself. The drone is not supposed to be supported (i don't see it in the list), but it does bind with the cx-10 protocol, and that is a good start.

In this file, the RUDD DR1 is throttle hold. RUDD DR0 is ok to go.

Three flight modes on the FMODE switch (for the 7E, i guess you can skip the FMODE1). Low rates on FMODE0, high rates on FMODE1 and insane rates (piruette) on FMODE2.

3D mode is activated with AILE DR1. While AILE DR1 is on, it flips and rolls continously with long stick throws. But you have to be in FMODE1 or FMODE2 for the 3D to work, as it seems to deepend on the rates, and rates are in FMODE0 lower than lowest allowed for 3D. Of course you can always change that to whatever you like.

While on FMODE1/2 you can also calibrate it by moving the sticks in the outermost low position. The lights will flash for a few seconds.

Unfortunatelly i wasn't able to determine how to enter Headless mode, although i may be something easy that i miss... If anyone has any idea, they are welcome.

I was able to finally get it to bind by sitting and waiting. The signal is very poor it seems drone cant get but a few inches from controller then it drops. Also when it does seem to have signal, it sounds as if I am taking the throttle up and down very quick. The motors spin up then stop spin up then stop.

The CX-10c has the blue board and I changed my CX10 protocol to blue but still nothing. It just sits and says binding forever and nothing happens when I try to bind it.

This is the video of what it is doing.

Well I am 4.0.1 I went to 5 and my screen had a couple of issues, so I went back to 4.0.1. I have been told to re-download and try again so I am working on that now. I really want to get my CX-10 going, but also my Inductrix wouldn't fly either it would bind but no response from the throttle which was weird.

cool, is it soldered in to your d10? if so you'll just need to enable the module in hardware.ini and setup the model with the correct protocol. all the info you nees to do this is in the wiki I linked you above and in the manual >> www.deviationtx.com/user-manual/user-manual-7e-10 if it's not soldered in you'll need to do that first, again the info for that is in the wiki :)

Hey Harry I went in for a double take today and I found out that I do have that module needed for the cx-10. I have included a picture of my module.

Is there something I need to do to activate or switch to the NRF module?

So I just got a 3-in-one module and deviation installed today, yay! However, I can't get my CX-10A go to anything other than a glacial pace. I've tried this config, made my own, but nothing I can do will make it do anything more than barely tilt. It is flyable, but nowhere near the speeds I can get using the stock controller. Changing the power mode doesn't seem to help, and flips don't seem to work either, but headless mode does. Any ideas what the heck might be going on? Flips I can easily live without, but I want to go fast!

no probs bud, we're all here to help and be helped after all :) yeah adding extra rf modules opens up the use of models that use those specific rf chips for their protocol. the stock devo rf board will do devention (obviously lol) and when you install deviation it will also work with spektrum dsm2/dsmx. so if you want to fly models and use rx's that aren't one of those you'll need to add modules.

having a read through the wiki would be a good starting point for modding information

www.deviationtx.com/wiki/

but also there is a new module that's recently been released that contains all of the commonly used rf chips in one module which isn't mentioned in the wiki yet, also there is a newer revision of it about to be released that will be practically plug and play (bar soldering 3 wires) for the devo10 that also fixes a few issues from the initial version. you can find the info on that board here >> www.deviationtx.com/forum/7-development/...-3in1-4in1-rf-module

Ok so now I understand I do not have any mods should I add the nrf and the other one in the pic would that open up to a lot more stuff I can control?

Where do I get them and are there instructions here to install those?

I have a pretty fair hand when it comes to soldering just need to k ow my input locations. Thanks so much Harry you've opened my eyes on what this controller can really do.

no, that's a crystal in the picture of the mcu, here's a pic of the inside of a devo8, the thing with the blue V drawn on it is the stock rf module for the d10,

if you have extra modules added there will be wires soldered to the pins of that leading to a separate pcb('s) like so
