New modules?

Hi, have a look here:

www.deviationtx.com/forum/7-development/...dule?start=940#55157

Scroll a little down to the section Devo8, Devo F12E (PCB looks slightly different but MCU and pin are the same) in this post.

You will find this information about the hardware.ini

I put the memory in and a new 4n1. I have had trouble getting things going, I have been able to troubleshoot all the problems I've had with the info here but I'm stuck i get "Missing Modules: MultiMod" error. I've been messing with the hareware.ini but more errors..... I keep searching but have found no solution.

So, is this F12e useless for the Open Tx and Eagle Tx that was mentioned?

Hello, check connections and hardware.ini file configuration, multiple times. Yesterday I flashed my devo again.. and did a silly mistake. It took me quite a lot, to figure it out. Of course it would be easier, if I copied my hardware.ini file in the first place :D
You can not install Open Tx or Edge Tx, but you could hook up an ELRS module.. it is brilliant! Right now I'm trying to attach the module, and make it look close to stock :D I will do some testing soon.

Latest working builds for Devo 10 and Devo 12E

Category: Builds

I have been away from the DeviationTX world for years, now trying to get a couple of transmitters flashed with a working build. I do understand that there are no "new" builds, and I see the old 5.0 builds, plus a few nightly builds. I have "plain vanilla" Devo 10 and Devo 12E (not F12E), just added a 4-in-1 module, nothing else.

The old 5.0.builds do not support the 12E.

What is a "safe" nightly build to use, with a decent number of protocols for the 4-in-1 module?

I'm looking around and there's not a download of 5.0 for my F12e.
Does anyone know where all the downloads are?
I wish I knew that this before I bought this. This place was booming with life a few years ago.

I haven't been here for awhile. I modded a F12e with a 4 n 1 and it was stolen so I bought another F12e and I am wondering if there is anything newer than the 4 in 1 module that I should buy to install for deviation?

Thanks in advance. this is such a great project, I hope it's still going.

Vlad, I have the Walkera F12 TX with video screen. It is a marvel of design and engineering. Many DevationTX members have asked if Deviation v5 can be installed on the F12. Or, can its RF board be replaced with a multi protocol unit? I have Deviationinstalled on a Devo10 and a F12E. I like it!
Could we get an update from you? And some encouragement.

The F12 transmitter is a beauty inside and out. It is unique as far as I know that it operates on ONE LiPo at 3.7V. It is a 3000mah capacity. Measuring inside, it operates internally at 3.3V. None of the add-on Deviationx modules operate on that low voltage.
The 2.4G RF module is a tiny thing that sits on a 10 pin connector--again at 3.3V.
There is a plug-in space to the left of the battery compartment under a rubber flap. It has two separate connections. A two pin and a three pin. Wonder what for?
I was hoping to simply change out the 2.4g module with an Orange DIY 2.4G. Not possible at all.
So,
I can only hope your work to bring Deviationx to the F12 will succeed.
By the way, the F7 transmitter is powered at 7.4V with two LiPos in series. Inside it may be quite different from the F12.

NOT FOR LOVE NOR MONEY

Deviation is dead. I contacted vlad and several others about adding the Height protocol to Devo 8, already reverse engineered and on MPM, even offered to pay them. vlad was only one to reply, no one is interested, "NOT FOR LOVE NOR MONEY" as the saying goes. Turned to OpenTX, has no touch screen, and EdgeTX is full of bugs, don't trust it. So at this time a huge step backwards.

Devo F12E RSSI weird values

Category: Builds

I just got myself Devo F12E, I flashed it with latest nightly build for it. (no XMS for now, waiting for chip).

I really want to display RSSI somewhere on the display. I mean, I have flight controller, which will eventually put OSD on the camera, but I also want to have it on my transmitter somewhere.

The only option I can see is to do it in page config, and add it in Box1-3 as a RSSI.
So I did, but it shows `127d` value and doesn't seem to be dropping.

I do have valid RSSI on my flight controller.

Protocol I am using is DSMX, I also have valid telemetry. (except time, that's never ok in GPS section)

What am I missing ?

DEVO F12 FIRMWARE

Category: Stock Firmware Help

Gotta ask:
Will there be deviation firmware for DEVO F12???

I just bought one for just this reason.
I have a F12E, fine transmitter, but useless video monitor, except on a dark cloudy day.
F12 is vastly better.
Please advise. Perhaps a Nightly Build?
Thanks.

The devo f12e will work just fine with deviation when you get it flashed. Flash the .dfu file then whin it comes up in usb mode you need to get the devo.fs file onto the drive. I use the buildfs tool, But too realy get the most use you need to replace the memory chip. All of this info is in the forum. Have done several with no problems.

Have fun
