Do not ask me questions via PM. Ask in the forums, where I'll answer if I can.

Likely to be the module. Post photos of your install (start a new thread, though) for help on that.
Of course, the nightly are now seeing real development, so it could be them. I'd suggest staying with the release unless you want to find bugs in the nightly.

I just found out that version 5 is out.
I looked around on the site to see if the version 4.0.1 models will work and if they are fully compatible but didn't find anything.
I have hundreds of models made for people, most of them are on this web site.
Once I get an answer I'll update my sticky post on this site about version 5 letting people know if my models will work or not with V5.
I'll also put a link to this post.

Tom,
I don't believe there should be any compatibility issues between 4.0.1 and 5.0. Also note that most of your models were also copied into the wiki here:
www.deviationtx.com/wiki/model_config
The goal was to have an easier place to search for stable model files than the forums which can be hard to search. Your original posts on the forum are all still there too of course.

That's good that the new firmware is compatible with the v4.0.1 models.
The Wiki looks good and is easy to navigate through and find models.
I did post in my sticky about the new version firmware compatibility with my v4.0.1 models for the people who go to it instead of the Wiki.
Maybe you can post a note in the Wiki FAQ about the compatibility?
Thanks
Tom

Installed Dev 5 today. Unfortunately now the module for V202 does not want to work. Before I updated to 5, in model setup there was option to adjust tx power output, that now says "default" with no other option. Also where it says "Re-Init", when clicked on it does nothing now. Unable to bind to V222 Quad.
Double checked Tx.ini, loaded backup, no change, tried installing spare module, no change. Reverted to Dev 4.1, no change. Am stumped.
Any suggestions appreciated.

Sounds like you need to modify the hardware ini and remove the ";" in the right areas.
Also, when you updated the firmware, did you format the devo drive (drive E for many people) and then transfer over the new files?
Remember, you can save your model.inis and tranfer to the right folder.

Does anybody know if there is any difference between the cyrf modules found in devo 7 (not 7e), devo 6s, devo 8s and devo 10? I am asuming that all of these modules are the same and directly interchangeable.

Okay figured it out. Before this update, in files on transmitter there was no hardware.ini file, only tx.ini which I setup and it was working correctly with NRF 2401.
I just realized after update there is now a HARDWARE.ini file, I went into it and ; was in front of module I needed enabled. Removed ; and works now.
Thanks

Heli:
There are still known issues for helis, including 4.0.1-nightly-build b9edc4c which made it into release 5.0.0.
There are known heli workarounds:
- some work better (especially for advanced mixer GUI with 2-3 heli templates)
- some older well-known workarounds for standard heli GUI (and overwriting "problems") still do apply and do IMHO not work that really well so far.
The committed 6ch_heli.ini (advanced GUI) template from version b9edc4c was rewritten IMHO with swapped cyclic1/2 for CCPM120 (only) .
So it is IMHO not compatible anymore for NONE (1 servo, no mixing) / FBL settings which would really require - even for advanced mixer GUI - the "before working" heli template 6ch_heli.ini.
Older template EATR channel ordering (working for NONE/FBL, but not for CCPM120!):
CH1 ELEV (Devo) <-> cyclic2 (Virt2 source input mapped to ELE)
CH2 AIL (Devo) <-> cyclic1 (Virt1 source input mapped to AIL)
New developer "heli summary analysis - problem spots - templates" thread (including advanced GUI for heli FBL + CCPM120):
www.deviationtx.com/forum/7-development/...blem-spots-templates
You can also find in this newer heli developer discussion thread: updated / added templates by me for heli CCPM120 and NONE or FBL.
Unfortunately that does not really help that much for standard GUI heli templates and CCPM120 flybar setups.
You still have to MANUALLY correct / swapping cyclic2<->cyclic1, as pointed out in the heli summary thread.
Swapping only the Virt1 AIL<->ELE and Virt2 ELE<->AIL source inputs in the heli_std.ini template (starting version b9edc4c) seems to me NOT to be enough.
That made CCPM120 roll (ail) mixing even worse on my front elevator flybar setup - resulting in even mixing the wrong two channels, as described in the developer heli summary analysis thread.
Best regards
Thomas

Found older posting from Indigo in 2015 describing what we were exactly working on for DSMx FlightLog / telemetry data:
www.deviationtx.com/forum/3-feedback-que...tions?start=40#28156
www.deviationtx.com/forum/3-feedback-que...tions?start=40#28224
Maybe some telemetry monitor descriptions from 2015 by Indigo could be copied over to Wiki for release 5.0.0 feature explanation?

In the release notes of the 5.0 version I see "DSM2/X - RSSI in dBM"
How I can use this option? I can't see nothing...
Thanks!

I don't know what does it mean. DSM2/X protocol hasn't RSSI support. No one DSM2/X receiver or telemetry module doesn't send RSSI value.

Of course you can't see the antenna symbol in DeviationTX - there is none.
Spektrum DX8(G1) Airware had it shown, which I owned before.
