There are 10 types of people in this world. Those that understand binary and those that don't.

Which TX and version? Did you compile it yourself or download one? When you say installed the library, do you mean formatted the flash drive and copied over the files from the FS zip file?

Devo8s. Downloaded from this site.Formated the drive and extracted the library to it. However, the problem disapeared when I only copied the with actual content to the drive and not the complete "filesystem>devo8" folder. Weird since I did not have to do that with my previous version (1.1.2).

Hi togy,
inside the zip is the following folder structure:
filesystem -> devo8 -> many folders...
Change into the folder devo8 where the tx.ini is located and copy everything from there to the root of your Devo drive.
Than it should work... and do not forget to "eject" the drive if you use Windows
Maybe it would be an idea for the future to "optimize" the filesystem zip file a bit to just contain the "right" files without the upper folders...
But great that it looks like it is working for you now

I have a Devo 6.
I tried updating to 2.1.0 but there is no FS file for the Devo 6.
Will an earlier version of the FS file work?
I had to go back to version 1.1.2.
That's the earliest version with an FS file.

You can use filesystem for Devo 8, actually Devo 6/8.

"root" means the highest point of the removeable drive where your devo is mapped; e.g. E:, then "root" is E:\ and the dirs/files are called E:\tx.ini, E:\models, E:\modelico and so on.

I just got my new Devo 8 up and running with Deviation v2.1.0.
I have my models in my Devo 6 which were generated using v1.1.2.
I transferred those models from my Devo 6 to my new Devo 8.
Is it OK to do that, or should I start all over, and build the models from scratch in my Devo 8?
