YD717 Protocol, at least init sequence is the same.
1Mbps, bind channel 3C and bind RX/TX address is 0x65, 0x65, 0x65, 0x65, 0x65
Try to bind with Deviation and NRF module, YD717 protocol with different variants.
@M-A-X:
Hope the RF chip survived the scratching
First try with NRF and YD procotol (and variants), if that does not work you should consider capturing some SPI traffic for us

I will try it
But my NRF Module didnt arive yet.
EDIT: Module is still not here...
EDIT2: Module arrived. I ordered the one with the Ceramic Antenna and then wrote that i would like to get the one with the external Antenna.. so i got the one with external Antenna and now have to order the Antenna

As the module is soldered in now (without external antenna) and I could bind the Devo to the X6 (YD717).
Im now wondering if I can in any way use the "Flip" on/off and "lights" on/off feature like you added at the x4
I guess this is only possible with a SPI protocol?
AND: Is everything soldered correctly if I can power up the engines of the X6? Or could it be that i cant use some things because 1 wire isnt soldered properly?
Edit : well at the Moment there is no Chance to fly the x6
no stick works like it should and it flips random. A lot of reading and trying is needed from my side

It's generally not safe to power up transmitters without an antenna attached. Can damage the output circuitry.
You can try flip control on channel 5. If you upgrade to the nightly build you'll be able to try light control on channel 6.
Check if the stick control is correct for any of the several protocol options (click ENT on the protocol button).

got antenna now and attached it.
Before i deal with flip etc i need to get it to work^^
I started a fresh model and set mixer to standard (mistake?).
I use mode 2 and needed to reverse channel 1 (left / right).
The next problem is, that the gearing doesnt work correctly.
When i put the left stick left it works, if I put it to the right 1 engine of the X6 starts to full power really fast... i really cant figure out why...
same sometimes happens with throttle (left stick up).
Im starting to think about getting the real x4 and just use a model.ini from here

Try the protocol options to see if any of them put the controls in the right place. The manufacturers using this base protocol like to make small variations.
If that doesn't work, but you can move the quad in all directions with various stick movements we could try to puzzle out what protocol changes are needed. A real X4 would get you flying sooner though.

Hi.
Im really sorry, but where do I find the Protocol Options.
If i choose YD717 as Protocol its white (not grey) and I cannot click on it...

Sorry my mistake. You'll need to update to the nightly build. The protocol options for the manufacturer variations weren't created until after 4.0.1.

I may be dumb.. but now (i updated to the latest nightly keeping my model.ini and tx.ini) I cant bind the X6. If i click "re.init" it doesnt make the binding "sound" nor shows the binding popup... A13 / A14 is still enabled in tx.ini.
Apart from that i still cant "click" on the YD717 protocol (still white)...

With the nightly builds, module options are now in hardware.ini. Make sure you've copied the rest of the new filesystem as well.

Hey.
First: Everything works without any problems now... Just had to enable the modules in hardware.ini.
I can fly the X6 now.
I set Channel number to 6 but:
"Flip" modus isnt enabled (no matter which switched i use) and
"LED"s cant be turned of.
Both is ok with me, Flip modus would be nice for "later" but isnt that important... The Protocol (after entering YD717) is "YD717".
the other 2 options arent working at all.
My ini is the one attached.
The switch that "enabled / disables" the Green "R" is shutting down the X6 (the Devo isnt working then and ther x6 engines stop).
The Switched for "A" and "E" do nothing

I have the same problem you had i can't click the YD717 protocol how did you enable it in the hardware.ini file? i don't understand what to change to enable the protocol...
My hardware.ini looks like this
there is no need to enable the cyrf6936 module unless
; it is wired to an alternate port. It is Enabled automatically otherwise
; enable-cyrf6936 = B12
; has_pa-cyrf6936 = 1
; enable-a7105 = A13
; has_pa-a7105 = 1
; enable-cc2500 = A14
; has_pa-cc2500 = 1
; enable-nrf24l01 = A14
; has_pa-nrf24l01 = 1
; enable-multimod = A13

You'll need to install an nRF24L01 module in your transmitter to use the YD717 protocol. Search the forum for directions for your transmitter model.
Then in hardware.ini remove the semicolons on the nRF lines and set the values after the equal sign appropriately for your installation.

hooked up the mosi miso gnd vcc and the csn to the tms pin on the pcb next to the gnd and vcc....
i edited the hardware.ini file by taking out the ; on "enable nrf......; module....
i hooked up the wires according to the module PGF file don't know how up to date it is tho...

Step 5: Test and Secure Modules
Once all wiring is done, before securing everything, test that the module is working
properly.
1st edit the tx.ini file on your transmitter (You cannot use ‘notepad’ for this. I use
‘pnotepad’ which can be found via Google, but ‘write’ should work as well)
You need to find the ‘[modules]’ section and set the ‘enable-a7105’ or ‘enable-cc2500’ as
follows:
• Using TMS: ‘A13’
• Using TCK: ‘A14’
Also make sure the corresponding ‘has_pa-a7105’ or ‘has_pa-cc2500’ is set to ‘1’
Now try to bind the Transmitter to a receiver, and ensure things are working as expected
(make sure to attach an antenna if your module has a detachable one)
Once things are working, wrap the A7105 module with tape or equivalently make sure to
protect the pins so they cannot short to anything within the transmitter. Next tape or hotglue
the A7105 module near the existing CYRF6936 module. It is not necessary that the
antenna exit from the transmitter, but I would recommend that the antenna is oriented
either up or down.
