T8SG V3 Plus Carbon - Missing nrf24l01 module?

Complete noob here so I have a ton of questions all stemming from my T8SG giving the error "Missing Modules: NRF24L01" every time I turn it on.
I flashed what I believe is the correct/most up-to-date firmware, thinking it probably needed updating straight out of the box. The firmware I used was: deviation-t8sg_v2-v5.0.0-62074ee
I had tried the V2-Plus but had issues with the screen and then found a forum post leading to just the V2 firmware.
The error message STILL appears after updating the firmware so I edited the hardware.ini to basically disable the NRF24L01 and I was able to boot and use the tx.
Does the NRF24L01 need to be enabled to use the Bayang protocol or does having the 4-in-1 enabled allow that? Bayang has an asterisk before it in the menu and gives the option "Re-init" instead of "Bind".
My hardware.ini is like this in order to bypass the error message:

[modules]
; there is no need to enable the cyrf6936 module unless
; it is wired to an alternate port. It is Enabled automatically otherwise
enable-cyrf6936 = B12
has_pa-cyrf6936 = 1
enable-a7105 = A13
has_pa-a7105 = 1
enable-cc2500 = A14
has_pa-cc2500 = 1
enable-nrf24l01 = 0
has_pa-nrf24l01 = 1
; enable-multimod = A13

So by bypassing the NRF24L01 I was able to bind to my Bugs3 but now I can't bind to my beta65s lite.
Is this a hardware issue, firmware, or (most likely) user error?
Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

enable-nrf24l01 has to be A15. Check connection from 4in1 module pin 7 to transmitter mainboard (up to MCU pin 50). First, try to reseat 4in1 module connection cable.

1 VCC Power 3.3V Power supply
2 GND Power ground
3 PE1 input Amplifier and antenna switching signal. See the truth table
4 PE2 input Amplifier and antenna switching signal. See the truth table
5 CSN1 input A7105 chip select signal
6 CSN2 input CC2500 chip select signal
7 CSN3 input NRF24L01 chip select signal
8 CSN4 input CYRF6936 chip select signal
9 SCK input SPI clock signal
10 MOSI input SPI input for slave device
11 MISO output SPI output for slave device
12 CYRF_RST input CYRF6936 Reset
16 RFO in/out RF signal input/output, connect to antenna
others GND Power ground

In addition to Vlad's suggestions check the sanity of the actual aerial SMA connector to the module board. The connector is soldered to that board and over time, due to the weight of the aerial and potential knocks it may receive dry joints occur which reduce the ability of the output IC to radiate the RF energy out of the antenna. The energy therefore gets reflected back into the board and can cause the chips to blow.

If after you have done everything Vlad has suggested and you have checked the sanity f the connector (you MUST re-solder AND use a test meter to check continuity of both the earth and the centre pin to the IC pin) it still does not work you can buy a new RF board from Aliexpress.

Also, T8SG series use "4in1" module pin 13 (CE_2401). I don't know how it connected to transmitter mainboard. Other transmitters (with "Devo 4in1" module) don't use pin 13.

Thanks for all of your help! I opened up my T8SG and looked over all of the connections you recommended, made sure the connectors were well seated, and followed wires coming off the 4in1 chip... and was kind of upset that everything looked perfectly fine to begin with.
Upon putting it all back together though it booted... and nrf24l01 is now working?!?
Not sure what I did but you guys led me there  so thanks again!

Glad you came right but that sounds like a bad connection which may well come back an haunt you again. Did you actually reseat anything or just look ?

I did disconnect and reconnect the plug-in connections even though they seemed to be connected solidly. I suppose I'll know where to look if the problem surfaces again.
