Devo F7 noobie in need of advice was created by djmorgan
Hello my first post and regard me as a noob at least to the Walkera system, I have the Devo F7 and just downloaded version 1.7 of Walkera's upgrade tool, I have installed it on 2 machines a desktop and a laptop both running Win 7 Pro X64 both fully up to date.
STM32 DFU is recognised in devices and Device manager but when I run the upgrade tool, and tried as Administrator!, it loads but shows no detail and no devices, I can load the upgrade 0.3b but do nothing with it.
I have tried to email Walkera in the past but seems the language barrier is too great.
Can anybody help, I would like to upgrade my X350
If this is the wrong forum, sorry can you point me to the right place?
David

To update the receiver you usually need the UP2 upgrade tool, not the DfuSe...

Do you press EXT button and power on Tx?

OK.
Sometimes it used to be USB device collision.
You can't try older DfuSe, because only the 1.7 supports the F7.
It usually works on XPs. Do you have one available?
As a last resort you can try to upgrade with PhractureBlue's own Java upgrade tool:

Yes it shows the upgrade screen and the PC shows a STM device, but the upgrade tool whist loaded does not recognise the F7
David
PS tried your 1.5 version same thing

No to XP whilst good I did manage to move on
I'll give the Java a go I did look at it but seemed a bit confusing!
David
No Java not an option as it's command line and don't want to cook my F7 with blind loading updates

Same Problem here with a Devo8s!
I have tried DfuSe 1.5 and 1.7 but the Tool don`t find the Devo!
The STM-Driver is correctly installed!
My system is Windows 7 64-Bit!
Any ideas?

Unplug all USB devices. Some times there is a conflict.
Look at Walkera's site to make sure that you use a dFuse-tool which is able to recognize F7.
Devo8 should be found since 1.4.
