I am emigrating to Adelaide 1st Oct from South Africa, it would be good to catch up with anyone at the local flying club & swop notes, tips etc.

Try the Australia sub-forum on rcgroups, you'll have more luck there.

[EDIT] Of course I might be a bit presumptuous in assuming you mean Australia, seems there's also Adelaides in Canada, South Africa and the US?

[EDIT2] The first two have populations of about 3000, the last one has about 30 people
