Programmable trim switch like in er9x? was created by Keith5031
Hey everyone, I am curious. Can you guys write in the code to have a programmable trim switch that when turned on re-centers all trims. For example, when you first fly a plane or helicopter and you run one of the trims to it's max, you don't need to land and re-adjust a servo or pushrod. You just flip the switch and the trims are automatically zeroed. Also wondering why in mode two, the channels are 1-ele, 2-ail, 3-rud and 4-thr. I thought mode two was 1- rud, 2-thr, 3- ele, 4-ail. Correct me if I'm wrong.
Thanks for the new release of 4.0, it's awesome. Also about the idea of using some of the icons from the standard GUI, I think it's a good idea, especially for us airplane guys.

Keith, mode 1 and mode 2 designate which side the controls are on not which channels they transmit on. Devo defaults to throttle on channel 1, DSM defaults to throttle on channel 3. What mode your transmitter is has no relationship to the channel the protocol uses.

Thanks for the explanation. I don't need to keep going to that screen and change it then, if I just pick the right mode and then the appropriate protocol, right?

Actually the DEVO is EATR and the DSM2/DSMX is TAER...

you don't need to readjust push-rods, but you would need to land to reset the subtrim values. because of how trims are applied, it is not as easy to do the re-centering trick they use on ER9X. I haven't given it enough thought as to whether it is possible at all though.Keith5031 wrote: Hey everyone, I am curious. Yeah so Elevator and Throttle are the only swap. Ail=Ch2 and Rud=Ch4 on both protocols.

Hi PhracturedBlue, I tried to report a bug report but was unable. It kept telling me to confirm my e-mail address and when I did it sent me to where I made an account of my own. I know you have a lot on your plate, so at your convienance, you can try and look into what it takes and how much of a pain it would be to undergo. If it is a lot, then I would not worry about it. Thanks.

PhractuedBlue, I was able to file a bug report for this. Like I explained before, it is not a big issue to worry about, only if you have time and nothing else that is more pressing. Thank You.

Has anyone had any further thought on a programmable reset switch for Deviation? I would love for this to be added like it is in the ER9X FW.
