 I just cannot get it to work correctly.
I have a DEVO-10 tx and am using dev 4 ( the latest version)
.
First off is the correct sim cable mod or adaptor ...... sim has a stereo 1/8 male and DEVO uses a mono 1/8 male ....
.
I have made connection with the sim but cannot get a working configuration.
it always mixes the elev and throttle .... the tx is in mode 2 .....
.
I am willing to hack my cables up if some one knows how to wire them together to function properly.
.
I have tried the DEV 3 Phoenix file ... no go .
.

Set up correctly on PPM-out you should have no issue, whatever Deviation/Phoenix versions you use. No cable moods necessary.

Go to the Model Setup menu, scroll down to 'Protocol (on the Devo7e/10 it'll just say 'DEVO') change it to 'PPM'. Press 'Re-Init' and you should be good to do.

You will have to make a controller profile in Phoenix.
Go through the Tx setup ignoring the Gear and Flaps for now.
.
then after saving the setup go back to the new profile and edit it in advanced mode.
and highlight the reverse box for the following
.
Cyclic roll
Cyclic Pitch
Tail rotor
Left elevator
Right elevator
Left aileron
.
Leave all the other boxes unchecked ..
and enjoy
.
this is DEV4 on phoenix 5..
.
helicontrols
.
RUD DR1= throttle hold
Fmode 0 = sport flight,30 expo ,and only 10%negative pitch
Fmode 1 = Idle up, 15 expo
Fmode2 = Idle up , 0 expo
ALE DR0 = correct for heli
.
airplane controls
.
Aile DR1 for planes
MIX1=flaps
Gear= landing gear

This forum is about the Open Source firmware for Devo - Deviation. You have the original firmware, which is totally different and has different user interface and options. The PhracturedBlue's answer addressed Deviation solution for this.

@ matrix flyer
.
its working in 5 ( with dev 4.0.1)
.load the last .ini file (in this thread)then go into phoenix and setup a new controller profile ... when all is done you may need to edit the controls in phoenix reverse a couple things ...and assign channels 5-7-8 to the chosen functions.
.
when phoenix ask for gear input use the gear1 position and use ali dr for the other input it ask for when setting up the new TX profile .
(you dont need to do anything for these controls)
.the file has the safty switch as RUD DR1 ..meaning no throttle
and fmode 0 is sport mode 30% expo ....fmode1 is stunt mode with expo
Fmode 2 is full 100% everything no expo

Not according to the PhoenixRC website:

Please note that the following transmitters are not supported:

• USB controller devices and joysticks
• Spektrum DX7 "SE" version (This radio has no training output for R/C simulators)
• Hobbyzone transmitters and any transmitter included with ParkZone or E-Flite Ultra Micro products
• All Walkera except 2401, 2601, 2402, 2602 and 2801 (see above)
• Any other transmitter without a compatible training port

I have installed deviation. now phoenix works with my devo10.
only a problem: power stick is like on/off command. hely get command only when stick stay at 50% of stroke and get 100% of signal that became 0% below 50% of stick stroke.
i don't know.
thanks

Hi o spagnolo !

Try going through the Phoenix calibration menu (System => Your Transmitter) , OR the Setup New Transmitter menu.
