Hello guys!
I'm new to the forums so excuse me if I post this in the wrong place.
I have been considering buying a devo 7E or Turnigy 9x.
The thing is I have a JDX 385 (hubsan x4 clone) but the transmitter is faulty. So I'm going to buy a new transmitter for that.. however I thought: might as well buy a transmitter for my own quadcopter build in one go.
The thing what makes it so hard for me to decide is the following:
I see that the turnigy 9x supports external RF modules
(just as an example something like this )
that you can snap onto the back.. I don't see such a thing on the Devo 7E. The Devo 7E however would support my JXD 385.
One more question: does the Devo 7E allow attaching a wifi booster?
Thanks in advance guys!
This has really been troubling me with making up choice.

You better buy Devo 10, it's a larger but more capable transmitter. To support anything beyond Devo and Spektrum DSM you'll need a hardware modification. For JD-385, which is a clone of V252 you'll need an nRF24L01+ module with PA, something like this:
www.ebay.com/itm/CC2500-PA-LNA-SI4432-NR...&hash=item19d726245b
You'll need to solder it using the instructions at: www.deviationtx.com/user-manual/Document...uleInstallation.pdf/
The benefit over Turnigy is that you will not need to exchange modules, the radio will pick a correct module according to the model you use.
