Disabling Main CYRF6936 Module on Devo 7E was created by czajunia
Hiya,
Is it possible to disable the main cyrf6936 module in Walkera 7E? It says in the hardware.ini it's enabled automatically but is there a way to switch it off?
It's a bit of a long story but I ended up without the main module installed while waiting for an "S" upgrade module. In the meantime I wanted to use the NRF24L01 module to fly other birds. I can't do it as my radio gets stuck when booting up with the "Module Missing" message.
Many thanks.

What happens if you click ENT when the missing module dialog is displayed? It may let you continue and select an nRF protocol.

Didn´t he already ripped off the CYRF?
So the best way might be to comment out all entries which are pointing towards the cyrf modul....> hardware.ini...setting up a model.ini using one of the nRF protocols and at last editing the tx.ini pointing to this model.ini.
All done on the pc.

It doesn't go past the missing module message. No matter which button I press. It just keeps popping up.

Yes I did, indeed. The module is out.
The only thing that refers to the missing module is: 'has_pa-cyrf6936 = 0'. Commenting this out doesn't make any difference. I'll try the trick with setting the model using one of the nRF protocols and see if that helps. It makes sense so fingers crossed.

Great success! It worked. After selecting a different protocol (not related to the CYRF module) in the model.ini and pointing to the file in the tx.ini I still got the "Misiing Module" error message but the radio finished booting up after pressing OK. I haven't tested it with the nRF protocols yet as I disconnected the module earlier on but it worked with the Turnigy transmitter plugged in through the PPM port. I see no reason why it wouldn't work with the nRF module.
Many thanks for your help.

It's all working fine now, including the nRF protocols. Thanks again.

It works fine... does it mean you don't get annoying messages to quit.
Even on a removed Cyrf Module?
