Best protocol for a BNF?

With the Jumper TS8G, if you are doing a custom build and can choose any receiver, or buying a BNF model with the choice between Frsky, DSM X, and Flysky, is there one protocol that in general seems to work better than the others? Are there any that tend to be problematic?
