Make sure USB cable is inserted correctly.

Start TX with Ext button depressed, should go intro programming mode.

Run DFuse as administrator, this might be it.

If nothing works and you're using Win 7, set compatibility mode to Win XP SP3 for DFuse, it worked for me at one time.

Honestly, I had to use XP3. Couldn't get Dfuse to work at all on win7 even in compatibility mode.

Go to Device Manager and check STM device (should have a yellow exclamation mark next to it indicating it needs a driver to work)

Maybe you need run Device Manager from Control Panel as Administrator.

Device Manager->Right click on the STM device (should have a yellow exclamation mark next to it indicating it needs a driver to work)->Update driver->choose where to search for driver->Select the folder mentioned above, do not try selecting the x64 or x86 sub-folders as they will not work. You need to select the parent direct which has the .inf file. Click on OK. Several times it failed to install the driver but then worked when I unplugged the radio before clicking OK.

Download v1.5. from Walkera and follow the steps as described by Helipal:
image.helipal.com/helipal-devo8-update-firmware-big-1.jpg

Especially follow the steps regarding the setup of the driver.
Also install the application to "Programme (x86)" and not to "Programme", and choose the driver for 32-bit (even if you should use 64-bit Windows).

I installed Dfu on several computers in thi manner, and it always worked.

Try different USB cable. Sometimes thinn cables don't work properly - even if the device is being recognized by windows.
Install everything on a second PC/Laptop.
If Deviation FW hasn't been installed already, have you checked/posted on the Walkera forum already?
