The A7105-500 does at 3mW more than 200m with ease.
I know this, because the year before last I nearly lost one of my V911 in strong wind
At estimated 230m I switched the transmitter off and let the heli drop . She was found at 265 m ( google maps measurement)
Yes but the RCcar reception sensitivity is lower versus a 5-10m high helicopter IMHO

I know about the restricted signal transmission on ground level,
this was just an example for the original A7105 module to have a number in comparison to the mounted chip on the 3in1.

If you want to install 3in1 in your 7e , I will say it's OK,but not 4in1 module which has PE1/PE2 need to be confirm how to deal with.
How much is the 4in 1 ? Need it for my 7e

1, Next batch , you will no need to connect LNAEN pin to Vcc,they changed a resistor on 3in1 module to solved this problem.
2, It's out of stock again, because Banggood placed a order.

Did you know that anyone with a bitbucket account (and you can log in with a google account) can edit the module installation instructions? Someone want to add the 3-in-1 module to the list supported modules page? And maybe update the transmitter installation pages to reflect how to connect a third module for their transmitters? Pictures are always good for these things?

I asked seller today, and got answer:
1, Previous 3in1 module, there is a 4K ohm resistor connected LNAEN to Vcc , New batch has changed from 4K to 1K resistor, Banggood will get new batch.(maybe Seby could help to check how does it work?)
2, "Some" 3in1 module CAN NOT connect LNAEN to Vcc directly , if you do it ,sometime you will not able to power on you TX. (I'm lucky.)

See attached photos,As you see from logic for RX mode(X) doesn't matter if the pin is high or low.
So we can safely assume in both TX or RX mode the RXEN pin can be hight(connected to VCC)
So we can use only one pin TXEN connected to mcu to enable TX mode(TXEN high) or RX mode(TXEN low)....unless the chip PA/LNA is shutdown.
Now why is 1k pullup resistor?This coming again from data sheet.

However the chip lockup is still not clear to me.
The PA/LNA chis is a separate one, isn't it?
Does your upper table describe it's behaviour? Because the PA/LNA chip doesn't neep to be shut down, it can be always on, can't it?
I know it could be shut down in case of the PPM or USBHID protocols, but it only causes some waste of power if it is always on...

But it is not big deal it can work like that anyway this is transmitter all protocols need PA working all the time so you don;t save much power.If you want to save power you can switch to RX and the current will drop almost 10 times.
