I lived with the German pronounciation. Defining a language for every single word is rather complex for very little cases that actually make use of it. I guess if someone is so much into customizing, he/she can simple replace the desired mp3 and modify voice.ini accordingly.

I see.
I don't have a solution either. The only solution that I can think of is if all the built in messages could consist of multiple mp3 file and duration pairs. That way one could replace a portion with a separate mp3...

Interest seems marginal, only very few builds so far...

So if we just want to add different alerts the the existing build we just select the same voice and upload?

do i have to redo all the voices i added or is there a way to just remove the weird one and replace with the new one? Seems if we could load the created pack somehow we could add to or edit it?

For now you will have to redo, it's *a lot* simpler than going through the hassle of reading from the database, looking what has changed and then within the new build only redoing the new ones, unpacking the old zip and packing a new one. Don't worry too much about the 10 builds/h limit I wrote, right now we are at about one build per 24 hours

Not sure why but if the voice pack built is to large it locks up my 12s i had to reduce the size to get it working again.It wouldn't boot up normally but would in USB mode luckily

Right now there is a limit of 400 alarms (200 global and 200 custom), did your file have more than that?

probably so it was all the ones above plus global alarms..I didn't realize there was a limit but no worries i got it sorted out and working again by removing some of the ones on the bottom of the above list..
edit: just checked and yes it was above 200 on the custom alarms..
currently i have 150 global and 193 custom and all is working good

The limit was arbitrary chosen, I didn't go into testing how much member have available, as 200 seemed enough to start with....
I guess I at least need to improve error handling in the code

@Moeder,
I did some experimenting this WE, for 'single' messages if you toggle a switch it is OK.
But for a sequence of messages like; 'timer 1 alarm 2 minutes', the timing is not correct, its is chopped like ' timer 1 .. minute'
I need to add circa 500 ms in the voice.ini file to get it corrected.
it's like the server is reading the mp3 files faster than the df-player ?

Could you post model.ini and link to voicepack used so I can compare performance in emulator? Or check yourself if you can verify the issue in the emulator. If not, the actual performance of dfplayer is probably the issue.

@Moeder,
I have now installed this voicepack; therealmoeder.github.io/26-voice_EN_Alex_PF_HeliDrone.zip
and modified the voice.ini as per file voice500.ini
Tested on model12.ini.

I second the motion to be able to adjust the speed of the voice when building voice packs.
