Eventually it should work on both, but let's stick with 4mb users for now

Ok I have the 4BM chip installed, so when I installed the dfu, then switched off, unplugged and switched the tx back on it went straight into usb mode. If i plug in the usb cord its displays the windows file manger and shows a devo.fs file, not the expected file system. If I revent back to the old dfu it work as expected with all my file system intact.
So I guess thats not working..?

Just tried on my 4mb f12e.....same results as Diggidy. In USB the old devo.fs file only showed up. Tried navigating around model set-up / Transmitter set-up and lots off issues. Hope that helps

I think about: How newcomer will know what tools to use for flashing that universal version? By the method of scientific poking?

I thought we could make a universal dfu, but make two zips in nightly and release containing different file systems. For smaller changes (like new protocol) , one would only have to update the universal dfu. Or am I thinking wrong?

I thought a lot about it, but came to the conclusion that it really does not make sense. Autodetection would mean needing to include devofs and petitfsin a single build, and this will definitely not fit f7. And since to avoid confusion we would still need two zips anyways, I do not think it's worth doing this huge code change. I think a flash detection enabled f12e-4mb and the regular f12e build are the way to go.

I'm having an issue with the screen switching off whilst in flight on the F12E, it seems to be related to the dimming functionality in the transmitter menu, so I don't think it is specific to just the 4MB build.
I can't seem to find an option to disable this while in flight, or maybe I'm missing something.
I like the idea of the screen switching off if I'm not in flight and I put my tx down for say 5 mins or so to save battery life, but doing it in flight in FPV at speed is a no, no. I don't have FPV glasses yet, so I don't know if it does the same in this mode, I'd imagine this would not be a an issue.

I also don't like dimmer in time FPV flight.
I can to do disable dimmer if video enabled and vice versa. Will it is enough for you?
For me that's enough.

yes, I think that should be enough. However I have setup my camera feed to enable when it see more than -100% throttle, will that still work and disable the dimmer function at the same time?

If you enable video by any Tx switch (or channel) it will disable dimmer. If you disable video by any Tx switch (or channel) it will enable dimmer. No matter the actual transmission of video.

Now - i am glad to have also an Ultimate-Version of the F12E. I let a "profi" the exchanging the chip and he made a proper job - and the installation of vlad's files was no problem.

This is for the gimbal controls on the side of the tx yes? Why do we need to reverse them?

For all stock transmitters I have, sliders have next behaviour: if any slider moved up to the top of transmitter, value will change to the positive side. But AUX4 and AUX6 change value to the negative side. We had the same problem at the begining Deviation for Devo12.
