Hi everyone,
I am new to this forum so I don't know if this is the right topic for the reply.
I recently received my Jumper T8SG plus V2 and was testing it with the DSMx protocol, which apperrently uses the cyrf6936 part of the 4in1 transceiver.
I was able to bind the Inductrix tiny whoop, but had a lot of problems with the range being no more than about 6 meters with the output power set to 150mW.
I did some investigation on the Deviation forum and found out that the 4in1 transceiver uses the pins PE1 and PE2 to swith the rigth transmitter to the antenna according to the table below.
status PE1 PE2
A7105 RF signal to antenna 0 0
CC2500 RF signal to antenna 0 1
NRF24L01 RF signal to antenna 1 0
CYRF6936 RF signal to antenna 1 1
I decided to open up the transmitter and started measuring the levels of PE1 and PE2.
When powering up the radio (DSMx protocol) the first two seconds I saw a value of 3,3V on both the PE1 and PE2 pins, which according to the table is correct. However after the Jumper booted and the RF indicator LED at the front of the radio comes on, the value of PE1 dropped back to 0V and the value of PE2 stayed at 3.3V.
With this information I started testing some other protocols using a spectrum analyzer to measure the RF signals and found out that PE1 after the boot procedure of the radio always falls back to 0V, making both the NRF24L01 and the CYRF6936 radio parts and protocols useless.
Regards,
Tom

PE1 PE2 lines is not software controlled, there is a proprietary chip on mainboard that control these lines.

I can imagine, but who or what is telling that chip what tx to select when a certain protocol is selected from the menu?
Because the right one is selected when powering on for about two seconds based on protocol selection.
Edit: Created a video describing the test to show what happens with the RF signal two seconds after starting the T8SG.
Also visible on the spectrum analyzer when using the "Bind" option.

Deviation v5.0.0 build with latest protocols : deviation-t8sg_v2_plus-v5.0.0-2018-05-08
I have used this with dfuse. The first time i have wrong the frimware and with a lucky i have resolve re-install this brand of firmware.
I have looking and find this other night build and i was try ... I have read i need use other flasher deviation upload 09. i try this flasher, but without success (the icon layer of icon very large and the menu is unreadable)... using the latest night build deviation-t8sg_v2_plus-v5.x.x-2018-05-14.
Vlad_vy says i have wrong filesystem maybe... Any suggestion?

@Vlad_vy: I don't know if you saw my comment in your PR, but why do we havein T8SG builds? The switches are not labeled as such so it doesn't make sense to make these available in the build. They are probably leftovers from moving stuff over from the devo7e-256 (where they do make sense, as these are factory built-in switches and also labeled as such).

I don't see sense to rework channel.c, tx_buttons.c and capabilities.h in order to delete HOLD and FMOD switches and "nostock" option.

Hi @Vlad_vy,
i think (or it's my mistake) but there is a problem with buttons mapping (LEFT, RIGHT,UP,DOWN)
when i try to create a trim like this :
it always respond only on LEFT key press
thanks for your great job

I havn't problem with LEFT, RIGHT, UP, DOWN. I think "step" can't be more than 100. Probably you try to edit model.ini manually.

@Vlad_vy,
step=193 is the value for momentary trim. edited with TX GUI
I join a full model for your test
in this model Timer1 is reset on Right press.
But when i test it not reset by right but by left press.
the test procedure :
1 : up THR to start timer
2 : press Right ==> nothing append
3 : press Left ==> timer is reset.
if you change pos value in trim5 to Down like this :1 : up THR to start timer
2 : press Right ==> timer is reset
3 : press Left ==> timer is reset.
then why timer is reset by LEFT key ?
thanks for your help

If you use 128x64 GUI, on the main page by default LEFT reset timers, RIGHT stop timers. So, don't use custom LEFT and RIGHT on the main page. For color GUI, on the main page EXT button reset timers.

Hi.
Is the v2 now compatible with MJX (Bugs 3) protocol?
