I like the "other"/Tron version too

Kinda not sure how to say this, but if anyone has ever read a Walkera manual, I highly doubt they will notice only 2 letters out of place!

I've been thinking for some time about creating a new logo that would look more "professional".
FDR, your logo is indeed creative, but IMHO the curly font doesn't reflect the technicality and professionalism the Deviation project is infused with.

So here's my submission :


For now the TX is just -poorly- mouse-drawn, but if you guys think I should go on, I'll take a little more time and vector-draw it.
I took care to use a GNU-licensed font, called Xolonium.

Tell me what you think !

I like it Nice bold font that means business.

We still would have a choice of what we wanted since it is just the 'splash.bmp' in the /media folder. Those who love the current one can use it and others may like the one your making better. It's a simple overwrite or rename that file. I like having the choice!

For you Devo 7/10 lovers, here is Khan's splash.

Tested on both the emulator and Devo10.

BTW, I did not redraw this, just removed the gradient fill then filled the lettering with black. Then cropped with a 122:46 ratio, then resized to 122x46px. Then saved as 16bit compatible splash.bmp.

Very nice...

I'm looking forward to the vector drawn Tx as opposed to the current freehand mouse drawn one!

If you could post a jpg with a larger background we can crop it to whatever we need. 4x3 or 16x9. Great looking logo.

With the .psd file you could scale it to whatever size you want without the compression of .jpg

Not everyone has photoshop.

While this is true, there are other apps that can import a .psd file in a useable form, like iDraw for the MAC. I am sure there are others.

As requested, a large version of the splash screen, and also a transparent PNG so you can do whatever you like without specific software.
