There's some information here and here , but depends on which build you're running.

1) Connect your tx to a PC in USB drive mode (hold down ENT while powering on the tx).
2) In the USB drive edit the file tx.ini if running 4.0.1, or hardware.ini if running the nightly.
3) In the modules section, remove the semi-colon at the start of the enable-nrf24l01 line. Set the value after the equal sign according to where you connected the module enable pin: TMS use A13, TCK use A14.
4) If your nRF module has a power amp (most do), remove the semicolon from the has_pa-nrf24l01 line.
5) Close the file, unplug and restart the TX. The nRF based protocols should now be available.

Thanks for the videos. Just upgraded my 7e from stock to a Happy Harry build. That was a lot easier than I had anticipated.

I watched the video, and unfortunately Walkera's "Service" page no longer has a "Software Update" option, and its not clear how to get to the "Dfuse" software.

Googling around got me to here: www.walkera.com/en/updater.php But there is no link to download the software from there. I found an old dfuse version 1.5, but it won't even run on my Windows 7 machine.

Does anyone know where I can get Dfuse 2.0, preferably somewhere within the Walkera site?

Thanks - a Deviation noob who wants to fly his new Blade Nano QX 3D.

EDIT: Found it on another post! This German site has a bunch of different versions of Dfuse, up to 2.3: walkera-fans.de/walkera-update-anleitungen/

Newbie question: so I've got Deviation 4.0.1 installed on my Devo-10, and I downloaded the model for my first heli, a Blade Nano QX 3D, from this thread: www.deviationtx.com/forum/model-requests...ade-nano-qx-3d#29204

I hooked up the Devo-10 to my PC, went into USB mode, and copied the model BladeNanoQX3D.ini file into the models directory. Ejected the USB device, and then powered on the Devo-10.

Question: how do I now "load" this profile to use it?

I looked at the Deviation manual (a 3.0 version from www.rc-model.hu/userfiles/csatolt_doc/deviation10user_726.pdf since the User Manual link on this site is broken), but it was not clear on what to do.

If I go to Model menu / Model setup / File: Load, I see Model1 (the default), and a bunch of 2: None, 3: None, etc. None of the other models (model1 - model30) that were in the default models dir, or my new BladeNanoQX3D that I uploaded, show up there.

Any pointers would be appreciated!

you can not give the ini another name than model1, model2 etc.
so change your ini file to model1 (or another number) and copy it into your model directory.

hello community
just bought a 7e

it's on the way
[on a slow boat from china]

just wish to write a summery
of how to upgrade to deviation software.

to see if i am learning this stuff
thanks

for firmware 4.01

1] get the download tool from walkera
has a strange name DevoDfuSe
2] install the zip file
3] contents in a new file folder

4] on the deviation website find the latest firmware for your particular model devo transmitter
5]download to desktop

6] use download tool to install dfu file on the transmitter
[use upgrade]

7] format the disk in the transmitter
8]transfer all the deviation files you put in that separate folder
to the usb root drive of the transmitter
minus the dfu and .zip files [Thank you TomPeer]

for the devo 7e include the protocol folder

basically done
correct?

so I bought a brand new Devo 12s and followed these instructions 4 or 5 times now.
I can't get it to work to safe my life. I noticed on the standard Devo 12 download there is no media folder and the model icon bitmaps are black and white very low resolution obviously for a different tx. I've tried installing the 12 test build and the file system from the 12 emulator. Nothing works. I've gotten it back to stock successfully by flashing the walkera firmware and library.
while trying to flash some of these files the screen doesn't turn on and the controller doesn't turn off. can someone please help? I'm dying to use my new tx.

Please provide the link for that download. It sounds broken, and we should fix it.

Do not ask me questions via PM. Ask in the forums, where I'll answer if I can.

Did you "upgrade" both dfu files?
deviation-devo12-v4.0.1-2cb43c0 in the "tab" Firmware, and devo12-lib in the "tab" Library. The last one contains the media directory.

I got an error when trying to upgrade the library file.
After the initial error it flashed once, but got the wouldnt turn off, nothing on the screen condition. The 2nd time I tried after returning to stock the library error wouldn't let me flash it at all.

Chabaz, there is something wrong with the proceudre you are following and I can't tell what it is.

You need to 1st upgrade the 'deviation-devo12-v4.0.1.dfu'
Next (without turning off your Tx), upgrade the 'devo12-lib.dfu'
Now restart the Tx and it should give you the USB screen.
Windows should ask youto formatthe drive, and you will say 'yes'
Now copy all files except the dfus and zip from the download to the new media drive.
Reboot the Tx.

Now if the screen looks ugly, look at this thread:
www.deviationtx.com/forum/6-general-disc...fonts-is-out-of-wack

Apparently there is a new rev of the Devo12S thatneeds a different customization. The fixes are in there.

The library DFU file should be *flashed* not *copied*.
