Factory reset settings for Jumper T8SG

the easy way i found just format the transmitter and copy the new file to transmitter now you will have fresh setup

Apparently deviation has the files according to steps I have seen on Youtube and in the manual. The person on that video seemed more interested in proving how fast he could reset the settings, and no information on how to dump the files to start over, so it was of no use to me. To my knowledge the good people that produce the Jumper transmitters, have not seen fit to offer any help in that respect. Without any slow step by step directions, both of my Jumper transmitters will spend another year in their box. I am new at this and old, but patient. Let me know if you find any easy way to fix the "Jumper self destruction problem".

Well that sucks.

I am not as patient, especially how I am just trying to get into the hobby. Ill try again tomorrow, not that I haven’t tried different combinations and reformatting of the radio. If that doesn’t work then Monday I will ship it back to the store. Should have gone for the frsky as everyone one was suggesting.

Ill keep you posted if I'm able to get mine back up and running. Also tried resetting it back to the original files that came on the controller “I did a back up” but that doesn't work either, my screen is blank and the right gimbal still doesn’t work normal.

Not sure what version Jumper is putting on the tx at the factory. May change as deviation is updated. It is safe to use a nightly build (Downloads link in the left column).

Are you using the installation instructions from the manual? The 7E manual linked on the left is the one to use. The Getting Started link on the left covers the basics.

I tried all the current versions in the nightly build section in the Download page. All of them has the same outcome.

Everything about the installation goes smoothly? Maybe post a video link of going through the install if there's any doubt. Which installer are you using?

I am sure it goes smoothly, like anything else after you figure it out. I can't so anything with it right now. I am using windows 7 if that's what you mean by installer. I am very new at this sort of thing. I bought a T8SG and also the Plus. The bank paid for them when they broke because it cost the same amount to return them.

Updating the firmware requires a program to be installed on your Windows 7 box. That program does the updating. This is explained in the manuals linked on the left.

The Getting Started link is also helpful to newcomers. As it says there, "Deviation can be simple to use, but like any sophisticated Radio Control system, there is a learning curve."

I appreciate the help, along with a lot of other Jumper owners i'm sure.

This does not work on my T8SG, my screen i still blank. I have tried doing the process on an older PC, still does not work.

Any one from Deviation out there that can solve this problem? All i need is to get the screen to show again. then i can return the controller to the shop. the right gimbal is defective, it doesn't work as it should, the update was suppose to help with the problem but just made the situation worst.

I don't have it working yet. I am slower than old people having sex when it comes to these things.I do appreciate you help though.
