yeah I can get a new 7e for £40 with free shipping from a uk source, just seeing if anything else is available (like a 6s or a cheap 7e so I don't risk killing a brand new 7e doing a processor swap
)

6s??? I don't think anyone that is on this forum would part ways with one... lol.
7e from aliexpress is like USD55 shipped to UK.

I just realised the exchange rates... my bad.

yeah i know, but i can live in hope lol, they can still be found new, but the money they are asking is the same as taranis x9d+ money, and if i was to spend that much for another tx just to fly my toy heli's and quads i know what tx i'd buy, as i'd use it all around and sell my dsm9x.
anyway anyone reading this ignore this post unless your selling a 6s, as i just ordered another 7e, £39.50 and it's already in the UK so no vat.

Yeah, i tried those guys but they dont ship to the u.s.... ...yet. Seems like they have a few in stock.
Its one of the lowest prices out there, if not lowest prices for this radio out there. Very worth it.

thing is e120 is AT9/AT9S money, which is a much more capable almost ready to be deviated tx, I just can't justify the 6s for that price

Due to release of a newer AT9S model the older one - AT9 - is available now on Amazon for under $100. It will require an add-on and some soldering skills. I have not checked in what state the code now. I know about couple of defect that need to be fixed for sure.

Is the at9 the same form factor as the 6s/7e? That's whats drawn me to them, otherwise dx6i's and dx7's can be found for between e75 and e125 as good as new on the second hand market

No, unfortunately not. AT9 is a regular size TX. The point is - it's easily modifiable, so it can be a new platform for Deviation. DX's are not (or nobody tried). It seems 6/6s and 7e are the only "serious" TXs of that size.

as victzh said no it's not, but even if we ignore full size tx's for the moment, i built my ultimate7e, which has a cpu upgrade, 4 x 3way switches, 2 x 2way switches, 2 pots and a devo version 4in1 rf board with a removable single antenna, all for pretty much the same money as a stock 6s. that's what keeps popping into my mind when I consider buying one
