Looking for a RF module [SOLVED] was created by tbozo
Hi

I'm looking for a RF module because mine is probably fried.
I have a devo F4 so any compatible devo module (the module is pined and not directly solder) should be fine.
I'm in France working in Paris.

Thanks

Based on the schematic on the Wiki, it looks like it's the same module as the 6/8/10/12, so the Devo 8S module should work.

For that matter, so should the 4-in-1 module from banggood . That one is more expensive, but Walkera only sold the 8S modules briefly for people to upgrade their 8 to the 8S, so they are a bit hard to find.

I vaguely recall some talk about a 4-in-1 tweaked for the F series transmitters, with some flash on them so you could use a FAT file system instead of the custom one deviation currently uses. May be a bad memory, and I have no idea of the status if it's not, but that would be wroth looking into if you're thinking about the 4-in-1.

Do not ask me questions via PM. Ask in the forums, where I'll answer if I can.

My remotely piloted vehicle ("drone") is a yacht.

Ehirobo carries the 8S/12S module for $16US. I bought one a while back and it is the latest version with telemetry and a diamond printed beside the connector.

You might also see if anybody over on the 4-in-1 module thread doesn't want their old module now that they have a 4-in-1 in it's place.

Thanks Guys,
With the help of the forum, I came to the same conclusion and reach the same links, and I was also wondering if anyone which has done a 4 in 1 upgrade would abandon his old module. Thanks for the link.
It's more a matter of time as the shipping time is loooong.
And if I order I have to choose wether go for the 4 in 1 or stay with the stock module...
And why mine has fried is a good question should I change or not my antenna ?
I even consider buying a second hand 7e to wait.

Choose your poison:
Either an used, but perfectly working depinned 8s module 10€ plus shipping or one with pin header, brand new from my Devo 12e 12€ plus shipping.
Both telemetry capable.
I could send it asap, but no hurry. Make your decision if you really don't want to do a 4-in-1 mod and p.m. if you want one of the stock modules.

Thanks I changed the module and regained all my range.
My F4 which was limited to 20cm is now back to normal.
