				Blade 450 3d ? was created by JFS737

Hi guys, Been flying the V120D02s pretty well, mostly circuits and forward flying. One or two flips and rolls, but sport or scale flying mostly.
Just got the closeout deal on the 450 3d, pretty excited. It has a flybar which worries me, but more importantly, I only have a Devo 10 with Deviation of course (latest non beta release). I think this blade 450 3d is DSMX... am I out of luck? I have not seen a model listed in this forum for it. Is there one that would work??
Thanks for any info,
John

Nightlies have DSMX in, so you're not out of luck. Reports about DSMX are positive too. My Micro T-28 Trojan (AR6410) works nicely too (not flown yet cause weather is crap).

Blade 450 3D has an AR6115e if I recall correctly. It will do DSM2 as well as DSMX. I fly my Blade 450X with Deviation in DSM2 mode.

Sweet, I'll try setting it up DSM2... thanks, otherwise I'll got to the nightly builds. If that doesn't work, then I can just swap in a spare RX802 right? So a couple good options. Am I wrong to assume the 802 would work??
Thanks!
John

I got it setup, The models I downloaded here did not work so I set one up manually. I'm still fairly new to CP setup so it was a learning experience to get it flying. Luckily, I had a V120D02s and made sure all the controls were acting properly.
I made it DSM2 and moved the 450 3d throttle servo from #3 to #1 and vice verso with the elevator servo. Then I set it up with 120 degree cyclic... The gyro was setup on channel 5 so I had to make sure I set that as the Walkera was on Ch7.
Ch1 -Throttle Complex (Four modes, FMOD0, 1, 2 and RUDDER D/R is THR HOLD)Done like the Blade manual suggests with 3 modes.
CH2 -Aileron Cyclic2
CH3 -Elevator Cyclic1
CH4 -Rudder Simple (Reversed)
CH5 -Gyro About 40 or so
CH6 -Collective Cyclic3 (Reversed)
CH7 - NONE
Then down below are the 3 cyclics...
CYC - AIL - EXPO and DR Using DR Hi/Lo is 100/65
CYC - ELE - EXPO and DR Using DR and 100/55
CYC - COL - Complex with 3 setting FMOD 0, 1, 2 ... as the Blade manual using 7 or 5 point graphs.
I had to reverse the Rudder and play with the Cyclic channels (reversing some) to get all to "act" properly.
I setup the throttle and Collective Pitch curves as suggested in the manual and made sure I had ZERO blade angle at Midstick. I am a bit low on the collective range... at about 8 degrees, but it's fine as I'm still new. BTW, this is with the DEVO 10. I'm running the Gyro at about 40 or so and it seems OK. (actually does not hold nearly as well as my beatup V120D02s 3axis). I figure they called for 72 on the gyro I think it was, so 72% or 200 is 144 or so... and that's about 44 on our system? I hope this is right, it flies OK. I did try from 20 to 80 on the gyro in 10 degree increments and 70 and 80 seemed twitch, 40 about right and 20 is "bad" for me, a relative beginner.
Regards,
John

Thanks for confirming this... I felt pretty sure, but I'm fairly new so getting someone to confirm it really helps.
