Eachine QX95 with DSM receiver and Devo10 was created by vinniesavon
This is a minimal config for the Eachine QX95 with DSM receiver and out-of-the-box Cleanflight settings (at least as I have received it). I have Devo10 and DeviationTX 4.0. You can arm through the FMODE switch.

I am posting this for those who just want to fly the quad with its original Cleanflight settings. However, those settings are quite crappy, and I strongly recommend to change them (multiple flight modes, new PIDs, faster angle rates, etc.). In that case, you may also want to use a more complete model config.

Thanks for that. Getting back into the hobby and dusting off my old stuff... while buying new stuff. This is on my new toys list I just picked up. Will save me time and trouble, though I don't doubt I'll adjust the rates and throws.

Thanks!

Works fine! Just right to get the QX95 up in the air.
Later on you can modify your settings in cleanflight, but it's a nice and simple setup to get the quad binding with you TX and to start with.

Yes, thank you!
I am new to Deviation, could you please explain why the throttle safe setting on startup is set to max and not to min?

I want to configure a second switch for the fly modes. Therfore I have copied the mixer setting from your 5th chanel which arms the rotors to the 6th chanel combined with the mix switch. But it is still not regognized in the scales on the screen and in cleanflight.

Hi,

let me ask the same question ! I have also observed that the throttle seems to be reversed
(at least in terms of the throttle save position (which is max, not min). I do not have my QX95
yet (christmas...) but I have seen this strange behavoir in some other model definitions also.

kind regards

@thommythekid and @Darowi

@Vinniesavon hasn't been here since his one post with this file (but hey not complaining, people like him are what keep us going so kudos; his not posting here anymore is a sign his equipment is functioning properly for his use!) so I took a look at the file so I could try to answer for you guys...

Ok so my first thought is "well safety @ max is fine if the channels mixer output is reversed" however that doesnt appear to be the case (throttle channel is forwards) so I think it's probably just a mistake. You can fix it in the file by changing
[safety]
Auto=max
to read
[safety]
Auto=min

Or fix it just as easily in the GUI...

Hi!

Apologies to everybody... Indeed I am not a frequent reader of the forum, hence not a frequent poster.

@Cereal_Killer You are right, it was just a cut-and-paste mistake.

I am really happy my config was useful to somebody!

Vinniesavon and Cereal K., yes - thank you for your posts! Your file made me able to test my new QX95 just right away. The safety max was no problem. I had already changed it to min in the file. I do just wonder where this setting option is available in the TX menu?

I also couldn't find it. I have DeviationTX 4.0 on my Devo10. Maybe the setting exists on the 5.0 version?

Hit enter to open menu
sellect option 1 "Model Menu", hit enter
Scroll down one to option 2 "Mixer", hit enter to open that page
scroll to your throttle channel and hit enter on the left box of that line
3rd option down: "Safety" | 4th option down "save val"

Since when it is there?
It used to be set in the model.ini file manually.
I still have doubts this setting works, since AFAIK the safety value can't be any arbitrary value, but only "0", "min", or "max", can it?

Thanks for sharing the config vinniesavon :)
This is my first time using my 7e with deviation and the config got my QX90C flying in no time. You're right that I'll need to mess around with cleanflight to tune the settings but this is a great start. I'm really impressed how well the little thing was flying even in the gusty winds around here currently.

Can anyone help me in getting my QX95 flying? I am really new to RC and have a Devo12E which I flashed with the latest nightly build. I have been able to figure out how to bind my e010 and Syma X5c but I am struggling with the QX95. I copied the OPs model.ini file and selected it. When the TX bind to the QX95 and I give it throttle it flies out of control (slams into the nearest wall). I have no clue what any of the settings in cleanflight do and have not found any settings that work well with Devo and the QX. I am struggling to figure out what my next steps should be.

Thanks,
Andy

Simple question: Which receiver version do you use with the QX95? DSM2?

Ok, that's good.

I attached the default settings of the QX95 to this post.
You can try to copy and paste the text to the cleanflight CLI.

Hi there,
I know the model file provided here is for the DSM version, but I ordered one with FrSky today for my Devo 10 with 4-in-1 module.

I am curious if this model ini would also work with the FrSky receiver.

Would I only have to change the protocol setting in the model setup or would it require more changes to the profile?

Yep, mine is the one (QX90c) with the built-in DSM receiver from banggood, just the one little board.
From memory I just followed the instructions in the quad's manual: connected the battery, waited a second for the blue LED on the PCB to flash fast, then pressed the 'bind' option in Model menu | model setup on my devo 7e.

I damaged the plastic QX90c frame, repaired it but it would yaw in one direction randomly, swapped it over to a qx90 CF frame and it's flying great again.
Reception range is quite poor with a stock 7e but that's nothing new :p

Edit: Just noticed this on the listing for the QX90C, may apply to others that use the same AIO unit:

Some New release DSMX Version Eachine DSF3_EVO_BRUSHED FC has a binding problem with Remote controller, type the binding code on the CLI command of Cleanflight/Betaflight ,but the orange led no response.
Please following the Manual to correct it.

I used the profile provided here with my Devo 10 + 4-in-1 module and the QX95 with FrSky receiver.

I just changed DSM to FrSky in the profile. Binding was no problem, BUT the controls where totally messed up.

Throttle was bound to roll, everything seemed crisscross

I was able to fix this by editing the profile and the Cleanflight entries.

The only issue left is a constant yaw-drift. The QX95 slightly turns to the right all the time.
