YD717 / SkyWalker Protocol Options. was created by Durete
I captured SPI traces from my Aviator 8927 TX (YD717/SkyWalker protocol) for light control, and photo/video camera.
This commands should be compatible at least with all Huaxiang Toys Quadcopters (Aviator, Skywalker, 8933, 8957, 8943, 8953....)
I captured this data in the hope could be common commands for all YD717 based protocols (NiHui, Skywalker, Xinxun...).
I captured the bind sequence, continuing with lights on/off 2 times, below some still pictures and finally start/stop video 2 times.
Maybe anyone could take a look to implement these options under YD717 protocol, because actually the YD717 d'ont have light/photo/video controls.

Great!
At least light control is working perfect.
Unfortunately, my Aviator crashes badly some days ago and can't test the camera options. The FC is mounted into a Dream Catcher frame.
We can wait to anyone who could test the camera options to be sure is working.
Good job Hexfet. This time you exceed the low time record

Thanks for the capture and testing!
Would you please check that the flip control still works? I'd be interested in the video if you try it with that cam attached

It's impossible to invert ch5 & Ch6 (flip & light) to be consistent with V2x2, Syma, Flysky protocol ?

@ Sebydocky. Please, could you test this options under one of your YD717 based Quadcopters to be sure is working with other models?
I have in mind for example Cheerson CX30 (any versión with camera controls), maybe any Xinxun Quad...
Thanks!

I don't know PhracturedBlue's opinion about this...

I guess should be better now to invert channels, but the YD717 protocol was included previously under Deviation 4.0.1 with this channel assignment...SeByDocKy wrote: It's impossible to invert ch5 & Ch6 (flip & light) to be consistent with V2x2, Syma, Flysky protocol ?

I got probably a JXD model where the light can be controled ....

The CX-30 I have don't have a camera which can be controlled from the RemoteDurete wrote: @ Sebydocky. Please, could you test this options under one of your YD717 based Quadcopters to be sure is working with other models?

Hello everyone!
Is it possible to controll CX-30 by DEVO 10 ? Because of CX-10 red PCB, CX-30, CX-30S and CX-30W (smartphone version) can be controlled by same transmitter (Sky Wlkr protocol in deviation: YD717) It should be possible to flying with CX-30 with the same configuratin .ini file .
I 've upgraded firmvare to deviation-devo10-v4.0.1-85c58b9 Nightly Builds, and download models .ini file for CX-10 (i think it was for devo 7e) . But I can't bind it
Could somebody help me ? Please

It's in the supported models list. Can you bind to any other models that require an nRF24L01 module to be installed?

Unfortunately I have only CX-30W and WlToys V272 quads. I'm waiting for CX-10 from banggood.com, houpefully with red PCB. Maybe I'm doing some misteakes in binding.. Should I do something like turn some switches on/off ...
What I did:
On TX loaded model CX-10 (from atached files) every switches are off (on 0 position)
1) Turn on TX
2) Turn On quad
Quad is not binded
3) In model select menu "Retry it" and still nothing
I was trying also with put forward and backward trottle...

The stick and switch positions don't matter for binding.
The YD717 protocols show the bind screen indefinitely, until bound or ENT is pressed. Is that what's happening when you try to bind?
The nightly build tests communications with the nRF at power-on, so if you've enabled the module in hardware.ini and don't get an error the module is likely okay.
You mention this is the "W" version of CX-30. With the history of the CX-10 I wonder if it's still using the YD717 protocol.

Figured I'd revive an older thread before starting a new one. I have the NRF24L01 PA+LNA installed in a Devo 12s transmitter. It binds without an issue to my Syma X5C-1. I've just spent the past hour trying to get it to bind with a CX-10 I have. It never binds and the LEDs flash. The model file is attached for reference. I am using the YD717 Protocol with the SKY WLKR setting. EDIT: This is the RED PCB. If this is in the wrong area, my apologizes. EDIT 2: Using Nightly devo12-v4.0.1-583c468
Sequence of Events when trying to bind.
1. Transmitter turned on.
2. Turn on CX-10
3. Doesn't Bind.
4. Goto model page and try to re-init
5. Power cycle CX-10 while trying to re-init
At a loss for what to do. Thanks guys.

Try all the options in the CX10 protocol too. The color of the board might not be a reliable indicator of the protocol used.

Thanks. Despite the fact that the board is red, it uses the CX-10 Blue A protocol setting. I did not realize that there was a separate CX-10 protocol option! The Support ed Models file should be updated to mention that. I'm willing to update it, just don't know how. Thanks for the help!
