Binding problem with DSM2 was created by pshkong
Hi All,

I have a problem in binding my Devo 10 (deviation 2.1.1) with DSM2 receivers. I tested on NanoCPX and Carbon Cub SS. I tried to use 150mW to bind as in other posts mentioned. Still, the binding sometimes works sometimes doesn't. Sometimes if I walk away and rebind, it works. But 8 out of 10 times it just can't bind properly.I just can't figure out a proper way to bind.

However, if it can bind properly, everything just work perfect. Very weird.

Anyone knows how to solve this problem? It's bugging me and I don't know how to work around this problem

Thank you very much!

NanoCPX and Carbon Cub SS have DSMX receivers. From my experience, DSMX receivers not always bind with DSM2 Tx from first attempt. I need connect flight battery several times for successful bind.

Next stable Deviation version will support DSMX protocol. With DSMX protocol all these models will bind from first attempt. Or you can try to use last build with DSMX support from experimental Nightly builds.

Interesting. Let me try to nightly build first.

Seems I corrupted the firmware after the upgrade. It keeps showing "Program Update...." after restart the radio, and nothing happen. Forzen...

What should I do?

Try to flash the stable version, and, if it works post again, I can build another nightly for you.

Thanks, I reverted back to standard factory firmware, now I am at the nightly build. (Not to mention I have lost all the models... omg)

But seems the nightly build has some problem on the icon/chart area. It is all black instead of the icon, and in the mixer page, I can't see the chart that I used to see.

Besides, I tried to bind with DSMX, but no luck still...

Anyway, a newer daily build will absolutely be appreciated. Thanks in advance!

I'm not aware of any problems like that with the nightly build. Make sure you have the corresponding filesystem installed (backup your models 1st)

If you can reproduce with the nightly build and the stock filesystem please post the steps you followed so I can verify and debug.

The step I restore the nightly build is as followings:

1. Restore to factory Devo 0.6A and Devo Lib 2.0
2. Install nightly build
3. Install file system of 2.1.0

Hope this helps.

the 2.1.0 filesystem is not compatible with the nightly build. you need to use the filesystem that goes with the nightly build
