Was wondering if anyone else had these issues. Its a module from a v911 transmitter on a devo 8s. Worked fine in deviation 2.1. Any ideas?

Do you enable A7105 module at tx.ini (related to v3.0.0)?

[modules]
enable-cyrf6936 = B12
has_pa-cyrf6936 = 1
enable-a7105 = A13
; has_pa-a7105 = 1 (enable if there is power amplifier in module)
; enable-cc2500 = A14
; has_pa-cc2500 = 1
; enable-nrf24l01 = A14
; has_pa-nrf24l01 = 1

Looks like I have everything but the last two on the .ini you have. Added them to see if it makes a difference.

I have the same with an earlier and last night V3.XX source, loaded into a Devo8s.

When the "screen freezes" the menu buttons still work, thus I believe it is only the touch screen controller that stops working. I can also still fly the V911 (flysky) and the X107 (Hubsan) with the touch screen dead.

I have not yet check with other protocols.

I shall log this on Bitbucket. Issue #371.

EDIT: Vlad indicated that this behaviour is fixed by grounding RXEN, pin 3 on the XL7105 module - will do this tonight and report back.

I've had this issue too with the latest stable release on my 0.8A version 8S, where the whole TX will freeze and the only option for me is to unplug the battery and plug it back in. Plan on redoing the V911 board attachments later. For right now it works fine for my V949/959, my (two) V911s though, I have not messed with as it always seems glitchy these days. Servos have heavy glitch to them to the point to where you can not fly. Thought it was my heli, so I picked up a new one.. Nope..

Ah well.. Too much else going on in my life right now to mess with this stuff anyway, so shelved it.

I think I have the same problem with the v911.

Report back as promised - after doing the RXen ground mode on the XL7105 module I have not had the touch screen freeze on me again. I never had the TX freeze on me to the extend that I needed to pull a battery.
