Devo 12s reboot bug was created by adabman
Came across my first Devo 12s reboot today. I compiled the deviation sources this morning so I am using the latest code (3d5eca3). This is reproducible every time I try. My errors.txt contains only "Empty".

When editing an existing model:

I wanted to set Ch8 to use the Rudder DR switch to output 3 values (For Eagletree OSD menus). Click "None" beside Ch8

Then Select Expo DR:

Then set src to RUD DR0:

Then set Switch 1 to RUD DR1:

Now at this point, when you go to choose RUD DR2 for Switch2 .. the first entry in the selectbox is AIL, and the TX reboots.

Current model I am editing:

I should probably make an account at bitbucket and make an issue? Should I include the ELF file?

I should add that the same problem exists if I use CH8 or CH9, prob CH10 also. Also, not only rud dr switch, I also tried ele dr switch and same results.

Now if you dont follow those exact steps .. for example set curve, expo etc for each switch before assigning the next switch, I am able to set the Switch2 to RUD DR2 .. but then later when editing the curves etc the reboot happens.

Could it be that you cant use the switch as the source? Should the source not be a channel or aux?

Nice catch on this bug, and thanks for documenting it so thoroughly.
It was a memory corruption bug caused by trying to update the trim widget (which only exists on the complex page). The bug has been there for quite some time I believe.

I experienced two reboots today while setting up one of my helis with telemetry modual and devo10 rx.

It seems to only happen if you power down the rx and telem mod and not the tx. Its as if the tx is looking for the rx and telem sync and ends up rebooting itself.

When bound properly and everything stays pluged in, there is no problem. Also if you power on the tx and not bind with anything, it will not reboot.

But if your bound to rx/ telem and unplug them, it will reboot.

Im running nightly version 8a4a0b

Kdean, can you please create a new thread when you have a new problem? I don't troll every thread, and this one had already wandered off topic, so i was unlikely to come back here. Or even better, file a ticket on bitbucket. it is unlikely anyone by me will help with reboots, and the one place I am sure to look will be bitbucket.

I need more info, specifically which receiver are you bindingto and which protocol?
