LemonRX range issue

Hi,
I have an lemonRX satellite which should work with dsmx. I'm getting very little range approximately 20m with a tx power of 150mW.
Before that I used am orangerx ppm receiver and it gave me a much better range more than 100m, haven't fully tested it.
What could be the issue?
I'm running an devo10 powered by an 2s LiFePo with Deviation v5.0.0-db496d9
I will update it to the latest nightly, but I think it might be more of an issue with the bind procedure.
I used betaflight with the command set spektrum_sat_bind=9, which should be dsmx?

The most likely possibility is that the two reverse engineered version of DSM aren't happy with each other. Try DSM2 instead of DSMX, and make sure you're using at most 6 channels as the reverse engineered implementations tend to go wonky with more channels.

Next is that something has broken in the nightly build. If that's the case, you might get a fix in the latest nightly, then again you might not. So try going back to 5.0.0 - either the release or VLAD's version with updated protocols.

Ok i'll try dsm2 now. Can you give me a source for vlad's builds I wasn't able to find them?

No change this time I even had a failsafe when the copter was hovering one meter away from me
By now I think the satellite is faulty, I'll throw another satellite in to see if that helps

I threw an redcon satellite in, and the range is nice, haven't had a single failsafe in my test area yet, so the lemonrx sat seems to be a lemon.
Seems like the lemonrx is faulty.
Or there was a mistake while binding it who knows, I'll try again some time
