Range on flysky module was created by IMback!
Hi,

I just solderd a flysky module recoverd form a toy v911 tx into my devo 7e it works but even at "150mW" the rage is realy short (tested with a v911) not even 5 meters, what could have gon wrong? i placed the antenna next to the devo antenna into the antenna stub if that makes any diffrence

EDIT: version is deviation 3.0.0

Your problem might be that the two antennas affect each other. Try removing the Flysky antenna and rather position it vertical in the corner of and against the battery compartment - that way it is away from other conductive items and your hands wont shield it.

Tryed moving the antenna dosent help :( i even tryed it with the module and antena ouside of the tx it dose maybe 15m like that so its still realy bad, also devo is negativly affected too it dosent do more than 20 meters anymore (with my super cp). i double checked all and then i redid all the joints dosent help, looks like im out of a tx :(.

EDIT: I just examined my soldering iorn an descoverd that it leaks voltage.. tip to ground is about 1mv could this have broken somthing in the tx?

1 millivolt won't do anything, what did you measure that with?
Do you have a reasonably high powered magnifier so you can inspect all the solder work more closely? It's surprising what the human eye can't detect regardless of how good your eyesight may be.
By the way, did you remove the rf shield from the 7E module to do the diode mod? As you say range is short on that also, there may be a problem in that area.

I removed the flysky module, devo works fine again... so no new tx after all. Im thinking of buying a new module (maybe i damaged it?).

That's good, at least you know the 7E is still ok.
As to whether the 911 module has developed a fault, it may be safer to just assume that it has. The A7105-D03 module is only ~$15, so you might be able to get one of those to use instead.
Otherwise you could wire up the 911 module to the tx it was removed from and see what happens, at least it should indicate if that is the source of the problem.
