Delay in signal transition? was created by 8987846
I just modded my devo 10 with A7105-500m chip and i found that there is about 1 second delay between the sticks and actual motion. I tested it on V911 and X4 with 100mW transmit power, both of them seem to have delay, but MSR does not.
The delay is very sensitive if the range is 5 meter away, i wonder what might cause it? Thanks

i also have range problem with my modded devo 10.... the range is very short even i set to 150mW...
is the range of A7105-500M supposed to worth than stock X4 toy transmitter ?

Have you tried solution found in this thread? (Shorting RXEN to the ground?)

yes i did that. to be specific i connect GND(pin3) to pin 8, otherwise the screen freezes when i select "bind".

i just changed the location of a7105 from the lower right conner to upper middle. The situation now is a little bit better, but i still lost signal 5 meter away.

A delay in signalling probably indicates that virtually every packet is being lost. One posisble reason would be if the xtal was slightly out of sync. I haven't ever seen that on the A7105 though. And I have no idea how to correct it without hooking up to a frequency analyzer (if that is even the issue)

I have a external antenna connected to the 7105 and can do some range testing with the V911 and HX107 this weekend. I still have this screen freezing on my Devo8 and will also need to open it up to connect RXEN to Gnd.

Maybe it is a good idea to do range tests before and after the RXEN fix?

So far I have seen no issues with indoor flying at ranges 10-15 meters with either Flysky or Hubsan protocols.

I also had this problem and the inconsistant range wen i had The A7105 installed (see www.deviationtx.com/forum/6-general-disc...nge-on-flysky-module ) Maybe there is a bug somerwhere?

My Devo6 also suffered from very short range with this module (about 3m @150mW) After I shorted RXEN to GND, I got about 20m @150mW. But main problem is that devo module is also limited to 20 meters at full transmit power. It seems I now have indoor only radio, because removing A795 module and reverting to walkera software didn't help. I'm totally lost. Are you guys having short range only with A705 or default module is also affected?

Ok, I did the RXEN ground trick, it seem to make a difference to the Devo8 touch screen freezing problem after hitting the Re-init button in Flysky protocol. (I need to test more, it did froze once, but I cannot replicate it)

8987846.

Regarding your range check, I did a power output check with a spectrum analyser before and after grounding RXEN, I could see no difference and the output is the same level as the Devo protocol at 150 mW, 5 meters away from the Spectrum Analyser, both TX modules using their external antennas. My guess is your range problem has a different reason - sorry!

RandMental,
Thank you very much! i think the problem is the location of the A7105 antenna. i am thinking about drilling a small hole to let the antenna come out.

just want to clarify, i have connected GND to pin 8, do i still need to connect pin 9 to pin 1 at the same time?

Thank you everyone, i think the problem is now fixed. it turns out it is my mistake.
i only connected GND to Pin 8, didn't know i need to connect Pin 1 to Pin 9 at the same time. Thanks MiG_31!
it won't lose signal 5 meters away now....
