HOW TO SET FAILSAFE ON DEVO 10 was created by AKA_TEKK
Hello,

I'm a newbie with the DEVO 10. Could somebody tell me how to set the FAILSAFE. I set failsafe for all channels, for the test I took off the blades, gave a bit of throttle to get he motors spin, and then turn off my Devo10, the quad doesn't power down, actually the motors even turn stronger. Could someboy look into my file.

i'm using a KK2 board with RX 1002

thanks

It looks right.
Does the throttle hold stop the motors? If it does, try to set the failsafe value to -100 as well...

hello FDR,

the THROTTLE HOLD safety (RUD DR1) is working and it is already at -100. My FailSAFE for the throttle is -125, Ail/Ele/Rud are set to 0.

Second that!
Set the throttle failsafe to -100 or L100... zero is mid-stick on the throttle.

I learned the hard way after a heli crash and turning off the Tx caused the motor to spool up! I had the fail safe at zero!

Heli did the chicken dance in the dirt... had the failsafe been set to -100 / L100 the damage would have been minimal. The running motor torn the heli apart.

Good Luck

Yes, I saw, that's why I suggest to set the throttle failsafe value to -100 too.
May be your board misinterprets the smaller -125 value.
All the other failsafe values are useless in a quad if you kill the throttle...

still spinning at -100 for the throttle failsafe, the number doesn't affect the speed of the motor, I tried to put different values, the motors seem to keep the same speed. weird

It works! After recalibrated the ESC ;0)

I was really LUCKY this morning, I took out the propellers before repairing a wire on the motor, did a quick test after soldering job done, TOO QUICK on the OFF TX's button even before turn OFF the KK2 board, BAM! The motors spin like crasy, wow that was close! The same time, I reallize the problem of the failsave...

Thanks!
