I'm worried that my devo 8S is defective.

Would you let me know a normal range of devo 8s with orange receiver R615 in a case that TX power is set to 100uW.
I got only 10m in perfect line of sight condition.
If I put it in a foam plane, I got only 4~5m in the same condition.
Is it normal?

Spectrum TX suggests that TX should control a plane far from 30paces (maybe about 30m?) in range test mode, which is 1/1000 power from the normal TX power.
So, the TX power of spectrum TXs will be roughly 100uW in the range test mode.
It means that my devo 8s got only 1/6 range compared with the specturm TX, which is very short.
I'm worried that my devo 8S is a lemon.

you might want to set it to 100mW instead of 100 uW.
miliwatt is 1000 times more powerful than microwatt

I get ~10 m with a Devo7E @100µW with Devo (Ladybird), WK2801 (4G3) and DSM2 protocols.
10 m @100 µW should mean that you get ~300 m @100 mW, seems OK.
