I see that there's a new release of Devention as 4.0.1: cheers to the devs and congrats you all.

I already have v3.0 installed on my Devo 7e, I was wondering if I could upgrade my TX from my usual OS: Debian Linux.
I've RTFM but I would appreciate a confirm on the procedure before I get a chance to brick my beloved TX:

1. I should mount the TX storage with [power]+[ENT]
2. made a backup of old: models/* modelico/* tx.ini
3. Just copy (cp -r ) the new filesystem from deviation-devo7e-v4.0.1 over the old one
4. Restore just my *custom* models (es. my first 3 modelsfrom backup, to preserve the new scaffolds that come with the new release) to the new models/
4.1 Icons should be still there
4.2 Restore tx.ini
5. sync dismount and reboot the TX

Thanks again for the nice release!

Hi,
And don't forget to use the PB java code to upgrade the firmware under Linux.

Devo 10 (+7e) owner. It's mine, please don't touch it with your big fingers

Me dumb, you have to flash the firmware/OS into the ARM controller as suggested in those links (thanks BTW).

That's it: flash and then copy, as reported in those links.

Thanks!
