Devo 8s and Gimbal tilt control was created by Colombus
I am using a Devo8s with a Dji Phantom since quite a while with stock FW. I've recently upgraded to Zenmuse gimbal.

Since Devo8s do not have a potentiometer for tilt control I was hoping to:

1. Use left or right trip to digitally control the tilt of the gimbal
2. If option 1 is not working to use a 3 position switch to at least be able to control the gimbal on Down, Middle and High position.

I've been trying to do it but using right/left trip on the channel that supposed to control the tilt of the gimbal I manage to have just two states, meaning that when going from, for instance 99 to 100 the gimbal position moves from the down to the high position.

I've tried as well with a switch but again the same result, moving from down to up position only.

I've been playing with Device Outputs and Travel adjustment on the Devo8s GUI.

I realize my question is very specific and not related to Deviation.

Has anybody achieved something similar to what I am trying to do?

Would Deviation help me some how to achieve

Take a virtual channel with a "fixed" curve, scale to 0 (so all is 0) and allow trims.
Select a trim to control the virtual channel. Set the trim step to an appropriate value (say 5) so movement is smooth and fast enough.
Use the virtual channel as input for the gimbal control channel (with 1:1 curve).

Hi, thank you for the feedback.

Well I managed to do it with the stock FW. ;)

The issue that I had was more related to calibration of the TX with the assistant of DJI Phantom.

If anybody has a similar issue, using stock FW and really want to use the left or right trim to control the tilt of the gimbal, you need to assign the flap channel on your Devo8s to control the gimbal, is the only channel that allows to assign left/right trim.

It works like a charm.

I've never used a potentiometer but this option really likes me.
