Devo 8 and 2048 resolution

Devo 8 and 2048 resolution was created by beemer

Does the Devo 8 support 2048 resolution?
I've searched and have not found any confirmation on this. I know the 802 rx will switch between 11ms and 22ms but this is the frame rate not the resolution, they are two diffrent things.

I found using the search engine DSM2 2048 but I'm currently interested in the Devo line because I have all Walkera hardware at the moment.

Any help would be great

The Devo protocol is +/-1600 steps (3200 steps in total)for -100 to 100 range. If you go to 150%, you can get a full 4096 steps (0-150% is ~ 2048 steps). This is regardless of the servo frame rate. This is comparable to DSMX which is also 0-150%=2048 steps.

So if I understand you correctly the TX and RX both support 2048?
I know other brands can be RX dependent.

Is 2048 active all the time or does it need to be turned on?

I have a few Hitec high resolution servos in a 50cc plane I'm trying to smooth out. They can be "choppy" for lack of a better term, when using long arms and 5 inch wide control surfaces.

I have no idea how the Rx controls the servos. But the data sent from the transmitter has the resolution I specified. Receivers could choose not to pass that on to the servos, but I'm not sure why they would do that. Note that DSM2 has 1/2 the resolution of DSMX so that wouldn't be a preferred protocol if this matters to you.

OK great you've cleared up some of my questions (send me the bill).

I might try a DSMX rx, would you happen to know which one would support high resolution?
