renaming channels ? was created by jdowdle
I am setting up an airplane thru Ardupilot, which seems to want to use the following channel mapping as default (I haven't figured out how to change yet)..1-Ael; 2-ele; 3-thr; 4 rud.....using dsm2 mapping in deviation, I have 1-thr; 2-ael; 3-ele; 4-rud.

I have figured how to change the target channel, but I would like my transmitter to say 1 is thr; 2 is ael, etc.

Any help appreciated. Jim BTW, I did a search.

You cannot. DSM* protocols are hardcoded to display 1-thr, 2-ail, 3-ele, 4-rud.
This is the typical DSM channel output, and it is the only thing Deviation can display for DSM2/DSMX. Virtual-Channels can be renamed, but the output channels cannot be.

the way to name the output channels by default makes the GUI looks foolish and funny.
We understand that R/C manufacturers tends to name their channels in different orders for their own commercial reasons, we Deviation being open source users does not have to follow them.
So it is best to be able to rename outputs channels, or simply don't name the channels but just say it by orders, i.e. CH1, CH2 etc..
